  I was referred to this store by a close friend and as soon as I walked in the manager and the rep that were there were super polite and greeted me with kindness.

  This negative review is mainly about the store manager who said his name is Gio. I called Verizon and ordered a basic talk/text flip phone for my grandmother who is having memory problems and needed to downgrade from an iPhone. This location had one available, so I set up the payment plan on my account to reserve it. When my sister-in-law picked it up, she asked if it was already activated/connected to my grandmother's number and was told (in a pretty dismissive manner) that it was. At home, she realized it was not activated. This was a bummer, but we were able to get on the phone with Verizon customer service and get it set up. Then today, we got a call from the Verizon store telling us that somehow we were given the wrong phone with the wrong serial number/EMEI number and that we needed to bring it back to the store. My brother asked to speak with the manager (Gio), and at first asked if something would be done to make up for this inconvenience, such as a comp on our next bill. Gio was instantly very rude, saying "everyone wants a handout" and making fun of our "dumb cheap flip phone" we'd bought. He said, "What do you want? A free cover for your cheap flip phone??" He proceeded to threaten my brother, saying that if the phone wasn't brought back today, he'd charge us double on our bill. Really, we just want to be able to keep the phone that we already went through the trouble of setting up, given that it was not our mistake but the store's. My hope is that the store can figure it out on their end and that Gio is held accountable for acting that way. It also seems some additional training might be needed to prevent phone/serial number mixups. In the meantime, I do not recommend going to this location.
