He said I could pay off the phone and get $1000 off a new one, perfect. Then the promotion kept changing the more he talked, it wasn't actually my promotion, I would need to change phones with someone else on the plan, it was only $400 off not $1000, my bill would go up, it was a trade in and not an upgrade, etc. It felt really weird and when I tried to back out, he told me I couldn't because he already marked the phone as paid off without my permission, so I would *have to* pay the remaining balance on the phone whether I upgraded or not. I refused, and he tried to imply if I didn't pay, he could be responsible for the balance. I won't go back to this location.
