    Steve, the manager, was a life saver after my brand new work computer stopped working after only three months. It ended up being a failed motherboard. I'm not normally a "talk to the manager" type of person, but in this case I was desperate. He heard my case and pulled strings to expedite the replacement. I appreciated the humanity and consideration for my dire situation.

    I bought a phone from the website and when I picked it up at the counter, the salesperson told me that the GEEK squad would be able to help me transfer my phone quickly and be out in about 15 minutes, since I pay for the service and there was no one in line. That was far from the truth! First, there was only 1 squad person that looked as though they were actually working. The other guy with chips told me he didn’t have any openings until the following day. As I am reading the reservations list on the TV screen and notice a big gap of availability and ask him again, he miraculously finds an opening in 2 hours. Since it was a simple phone transfer, I asked if it was something they could do while they help others, and he said its more complicated than that. So, I had to leave and come back 2 hours later. I arrived early for my appointment but they are working with someone who didn’t have an appointment, so I had to wait for them to finish with those people. When it was finally my turn, the guy had no idea what he was doing, I was reading the prompts on the screen and helping him. In the end, “there wasn’t enough time” for him to transfer my phone data. He told me it would be easy for me to do it myself at home, but did not inform me that my old phone didn’t have enough storage (another prompt he didn’t read). Meaning, I was unable to do it myself/need additional assistance. So overall, a big waste of time, gas, energy, money and my sanity.

    I took a brand new MacBook in there to trade in for a gift card. I stood there for a long time and five people in blue shirts that obviously were employees just stood there hanging out. I asked if I could have help and he says “oh nobody came over there?” No they didn’t. Then I try to trade in my MacBook the guy does not open the case or look at it or anything. Buyer/seller beware.

    Don’t use the geek squad!!! No communication at all. Went here to have my battery replaced because my phone was saying no battery found. They took my money said my phone would be ready the next day by 4pm. I arrive to the fact that my phone is not repaired and the only tech who works on iPhones is out sick. They don’t know when they can fix my phone. The manager then tells me the tech had a family emergency and that’s why he couldn’t fix my phone. NO ONE called me to let me k ow they couldn’t fix my phone and when my husband called to ask if my phone was ready they said not yet. No one told him about the tech being sick. Now my battery is working fine and didn’t need a battery at all. A bunch of crooks here. Don’t use them!!! Even now while waiting for a refund still not communicating to me.
