  I cannot say enough good things about the entire team at Chewy Vet Care in Aventura! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly warm, professional, and genuinely caring — you can really feel that they all love what they do. A huge thank you to Dr. Artemis — she is an absolutely outstanding veterinarian. She took so much time to explain everything in detail, answered all of our questions with patience and kindness, and made both us and our furry baby feel completely at ease. Her knowledge, compassion, and gentle approach are truly exceptional. Equally amazing were Ricky W. and Lorraine at the front desk and in the treatment area. Ricky was so friendly and helpful from the very first phone call and throughout our visit — he made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Lorraine went above and beyond with her sweetness and attention to detail; she treated our pet like her own and made sure we felt supported every step of the way. Every single staff member we interacted with — from reception to techs to the doctors — was top-notch. This clinic is a true gem in Aventura, and we feel so lucky to have found them. Thank you, Chewy Vet Care team — Dr. Artemis, Ricky, Lorraine, and everyone else — for your incredible care. We’re already looking forward to our next visit (though hopefully just for wellness checks)! 🐾❤️ Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for the very best veterinary care!

  The whole staff was amazing in our time of grief. The director Nellyann Ellis was very compassionate and attentive. The whole staff from nurse Max to Dr. Gujar explained each step and let us grieve. It felt like family was there to support us during this difficult time. The genuine caring and understanding is a true testament to a practice built on compassion and kindness. Can’t say enough about them! I recommend anyone who truly loves their pets to choose this facility. Thank you for everything you have done for our Browny!

  I couldn’t be happier with the clinic. They have found my lost shihtzu and promptly proceded to scan the chip that was linked to my phone number and address. They called me right away to let me know Iris is safe and sound, and that she is ready for pick up. While attending the dog, they made sure for Iris to be comfortable, they cleaned her and even administered eye ointment as she has an eye allergy that requires frequent cleanups. So pleased with their sense of urgency and promptness.

  I visited this hospital as a walk-in with my cat, who had a painful ingrown claw. The staff was friendly and willing to accommodate us without an appointment, and the issue was ultimately resolved — I appreciate that. However, a few things were concerning: 1. No local pain management The procedure was extremely painful for my cat. I had informed the team that she has a heart sensitivity and shouldn’t be stressed, yet no topical anesthesia was offered before the nail was removed. She became very distressed and even strongly bit my hand — something she has never done before. For such a painful procedure, some form of topical analgesia should be standard. 2. No protective gloves offered Given the level of discomfort the cat experienced, gloves were not provided to me or the staff beforehand, which could have helped prevent my hand injury from my cat bite. 3. Lack of proactive guidance We were prescribed antibiotics, but no probiotics were recommended — I had to ask for them myself. The doctor also noted dental tartar but didn’t offer suggestions on what to use for dental care until I asked. Overall, the staff was kind, and the problem was addressed, but the visit was more stressful than expected — for both me and my cat. A more proactive and pain-aware approach, along with clearer aftercare guidance, would make the experience much smoother and safer.
