We’ve never posted anything on social media and have no personal connection to Aurora Homes, but felt the need to share our experiences. We weren’t planning on having a home built, because we've heard horror stories about certain builders. Since there were limited homes on the market, we started looking at our options. After meeting with other builders we quickly realized that they advertise a base price, but then charge high fees for everything they consider “extra”. Many builders wouldn’t even give us a straight answer as to when the home would actually be built. Fortunately, our experience with Aurora Homes has been totally different. Keith and Michele were knowledgeable and helpful as they showed us actual samples of their standard package. The granite, wood plank flooring, custom kitchen cabinets, and more were all included in their base price. Materials considered to be an “upgrade” for other builders were the standard for Aurora. There were so many top-of-the-line choices that we were not forced to pay extra for great quality. Scott and Zack made sure the design of the house met our needs and gave us specifics about each step of the build. They began building our home right on schedule and they send us pictures with messages about their progress. Our many questions continue to be answered quickly and with a smile. We don't feel like a number being placed on hold. This sounds a bit corny, but the fact is that we have been given a custom experience without the custom price tag. We are grateful to those at Aurora who have made this a fun and exciting process with not an ounce of stress.
Thank You!

Having built 2 former homes in Virginia, we pretty much knew what to expect with this build. However, we were pleasantly surprised with Statera and how they operate. Moreover, this company gives perks that no other home building company offers without a "premium". Usually, it comes down to an "a-la-cart" type of purchase. Startera actually 'gives' the buyer some very nice 'extras' like 6 inch exterior framing, an irrigated, fully sodded lawn, structural integrity beyond normal, smart internal wiring for electronic devices and a totally insulated master suite that is a virtual quiet escape from the rest of the house including a solid entry door.
Working with the builder, site supervisor and build coordinator is nothing short of top notch professionalism. These folks put your mind at ease and communicate with you throughout the entire process. They take photos and post them on a personal web site so that the buyer can see the weekly activities taking place. In that same web site is a weekly calendar which indicates what is scheduled a week in advance. I do not know any other builder that coordinates his staff to keep the buyer "in the know" each step of the way.
We have been in our new home for 2 months and it is obvious that we made the right decision to choose Statera for this project. The house is beautiful and solid. No floating, squeaky floors, no leaks, no mechanical issues. Overall, an impressive structure that we are proud to show off to family and friends and will be content here for years to come.
