Zach is a devoted family law attorney, whose roots are deeply entwined with Delaware, the state of his birth and upbringing. His legal ambitions began at the University of Delaware, where he studied Criminal Justice and Philosophy, graduating in 2006. His interest in family law brought Zach to The Delaware Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2014. Upon graduation, Zach gained invaluable experience and insight as a law clerk in the Sussex County Family Court. Over the subsequent six years, Zach has expanded his practice to cover a broad spectrum of family law matters from custody disputes, child support, and alimony, to protection from abuse cases, guardianship, adoption, termination of parental rights, prenuptial and antenuptial agreements, and criminal matters in the family court for both juveniles and adults. A member of the Delaware Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Terry-Carey Inns of Court, Zach’s commitment extends to the families he serves in Delaware, combining professionalism and compassionate advocacy that defines his approach to family law.

The founding member, Ashley Bickel esq, has been focusing her practice on family law for the past sixteen years.     Ashley Bickel is amazing! I’ve had a rough ride with the family courts and my ex. She has always been there for us and represented us with great integrity! She’s extremely personable and very caring. She is extremely knowledgeable with the court system. She was always on top of everything I needed and always had the best guidance to get us to where we are today! I will be forever Grateful to Mrs. Bickel. She was our savior in many ways. I highly recommend

    Got representation from Mr.Gardner concerning a PFA issue. He was dilligent through the entire process; steps ahead of worst case scenarios & ready to answer them. . . I ended up getting more than what I was even asking [favorable ruling]

    Save yourself the frustration and avoid this law firm at all costs. My experience with Kevin Gardner was a complete disaster from start to finish. I hired him for a critical family law case, only to find out he was utterly ineffective and completely unprepared to handle even the most basic aspects of representation. From the very beginning, it was painfully obvious that he was more interested in keeping things friendly with opposing counsel than in fighting for my rights. His spinelessness and eagerness to concede to the other side’s ridiculous demands demonstrated a severe lack of confidence, assertiveness, and competence. When I hired him, he had only 3 months of family law experience, and it showed in every single aspect of his approach. He was more concerned about preserving his relationships with his colleagues than standing up for me, his client. His performance during mediation was an absolute failure—he pressured me into accepting absurd, one-sided terms from the opposition, which resulted in a laughably biased interim order that could not have been more in favor of the other party. Looking back, I realize that I would have been better off without him. His involvement didn’t just fail to improve my situation; it actively weakened my position. The only reason he’s responsive is probably because he has no clients to attend to. He simply does not have the guts, the legal skill, or the determination required to be a real attorney. His incompetence caused severe damage to my case, and I deeply regret ever hiring him. If you value your case and your time, steer clear of Kevin Gardner and find an attorney who actually knows how to fight for their clients. Those 5-star reviews are clearly from his colleagues and friends, not genuine clients.

    I highly recommend this place, and especially Kevin Gardner. My situation was stressful, but Kevin made sure I was always in the loop and without further stressing me out. Would definitely use again should another case arise.
