The staff is always friendly. Recently I went for our male dogs check up after being fixed and the nurse helped me out getting to the room and back to my vehicle as I had my baby and dog who is a puller when he's nervous. It really made the vist so much easier for me. We have used them for years now they have taken care of 3 dogs 2 rats and a frog we had.

My first experience here was when I had to put my cat down. It was a very sad day and they were so kind. They sent us a card signed from the staff. My second experience was when another cat had cancer and had to be put down. The clinic stayed open longer so my daughter could drive home from college to be with us.I now take both my cats here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Always greeted with a warm hello. Dr. Gilmore is fantastic with taking great care of my cats, Max and Cole. I was recommended to coming here right after we relocated to CT. We made the right decision. I definitely recommend coming here!

Have been going there for years with several cats and haven’t had any issues. All the cats have been very calm after getting inside even though some do not do too well in the carriers.

Having been a client there for nearly 9 years (with 9 different dogs and countless invoices representing THOUSANDS of dollars) we terminated our relationship with VCA today. I arrived at our appt 8 minutes late. I apologized immediately as the reception coldly told me that they had already taken the next appointment (are they scheduling every 8 minutes??) and that she would have to talk to the vet about my appointment. My assumption was that they would work with me, having never been late before, and shorten my appointment by those 8 minutes. Instead, the receptionist comes back and tells me that the vet will see me but i’ll have to wait until after the NEXT appointment was seen (who had not even arrived, in fact, the waiting room was EMPTY!) I totally understand taking the person after me who was there, i can’t understand making me wait with an anxious dog thru a second appointment who has not yet even arrived. It was purely punitive. Over the years we’ve endured constant staff turnover, changing hours, long waits for appointments, inconsistent medication pricing, delayed test results, and higher costs than many of our friends’ vets—yet we stayed loyal. I guess that loyalty is not reciprocal. 8 minutes. Smh.

Bad experience! I made an appointment online for 1 1/2 months out due to them being very busy. My dog needed a rabies shot. To do that they required it be part of a "semi-annual exam." --which I scheduled, knowing it would cost at least a couple hundred dollars to get a rabies shot. I received email confirmation stating the appointment was successfully made and that I would receive a reminder in the mail. I showed up for the appointment and was told it was cancelled because I didn't call and confirm that my dog would be attending the appointment! It's my opinion that if they expect me to call and confirm 1 1/2 months after receiving their confirmation that the appointment was successfully made--shouldn't they have shown curtesy to someone new to their facility by calling me and saying you didn't call to confirm before they canceled the appointment. I walked out--They have an expectation of their clients' owners that they themselves do not extend to their clients.
