- GGGiaMar 28, 20251.0Geek Squad person from CT Cannot connect a printer to a computer correctly. I am a total member, and it isn't cheap, but I do not mind paying for it because to me it means peace of mind. You still have to pay extra for them coming to your home and setting up your printer. I paid $85.00 and he still could not hook it up right. It isn't to fix the printer the printer is fine it is just to connect it to the desktop. I told the person doing the job that they way he was connecting was done before it is the easiest way, but it doesn't work it will work for a few hours, and it will disconnect & I will not be able to scan first and next I will not be able to print or copy. He said it is the only way he knows. So he only knows the wrong way that doesn't work. He did the way that stops working after a few successful scans, copies and prints. The next day it did not work at all. I am fed up with the lack of customer service from Geek Squad and the lack of competent people they hire at Geek Squad. I don't mind paying for anything if it is worth it they charge you for not doing the job correctly and causing a lot of aggravation and wasting hours of your time. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY DO A LOT OF OUTSOURCING TO OTHER COUNTRIES AND THEY HAVE NO ACCOUNTABILITY AND A LOT OF THE PEOPLE THEY HIRE TO COME TO YOUR HOME DO THE VERY LEAST POSSIBLE AND THEY ARE LIMITED AS TO WHAT THEY KNOW. HIRE COMPETENT PEOPLE!
