My pets were never seen there. Had to make an a fast appt for meds for moving. The receptionists, techs, and Dr E were all great. Took their time with the cats so they weren’t stressed. Explained the meds and everything perfectly. The place was also super clean! Even though I’m moving, I would highly recommend.

I have never written a negative review before, but this experience left me furious, heartbroken, and deeply disappointed. I’ve had multiple issues at this vet’s office — small mistakes that added up to major headaches. But the final straw was my dog’s cryptorchid neutering. From start to finish, the communication was an absolute disaster. Before surgery, I asked detailed questions about recovery and whether living on the third floor of an apartment with stairs would be a problem. I was assured that it wouldn’t be. I followed every instruction exactly as given. Soon after surgery, my dog began showing signs of complications. When I called in, I was told (over the phone, without anyone even seeing him) that it was “probably" a hematoma. At his two-week checkup, a vet tech told me the same thing — though she admitted she wasn’t sure and “didn’t work with testicles often.” She also said he could start having a little light play — just a few sessions a day, 10 minutes each (which I allowed because my poor puppy was going stir crazy). A few days later, that same tech called back saying the she had spoken with the surgeon (after I HAD ASKED to speak with him myself). They were now saying with “99% certainty” that the hematoma was caused by my apartment stairs, and that he wasn’t supposed to have ANY activity whatsoever (another mistake... and at that point, he had already HAD some light activity because I was told it was okay. Apparently not). She also said that, worst case scenario, my dog may need ANOTHER SURGERY. (WHAT????? So let me get this straight: he may need to have surgery again because of a miscommunication? This was 10000% avoidable. All they had to tell me when I asked was "stairs may be a bad idea -- I'd use the potty pads on the porch instead of taking him up and down stairs." Oh, and also DON'T tell me that light activity is okay when it was very much not okay and could make his condition worse!!!) At this point, I was horrified and asked to speak with both the office manager and the surgeon directly. The manager was dismissive and defensive, offering only excuses and a free checkup (which I wound up NOT accepting because quite frankly, my trust in that office was shattered.) The surgeon was even worse — condescending, rude, and audibly annoyed that I was asking questions about my dog’s care. His tone was degrading and disrespectful, and I left the conversation shaking and in tears. Feeling uneasy, I went elsewhere for a second opinion — and thank goodness I did. The new vet determined it was not a hematoma at all, but irritated scar tissue. No second surgery needed. Just a few more weeks of rest and some laser therapy if needed. They were baffled by the original diagnosis and the misinformation I had been given, and they were horrified that a second surgery was even suggested, even if it was a "worst case scenario" thing. As a fellow business owner, I understand that mistakes can happen. But this was far beyond a simple mistake — it was a pattern of careless communication, lack of empathy, and a shocking level of unprofessionalism from multiple people in the office. If you love your pets, please think twice before trusting them to this clinic. I would never want another owner to go through the stress, fear, and frustration that I did.

VCA Front Range is amazing! We recently started seeing Dr. Estep with our dog Ralphie for behavioral health. We have had good experiences working with her and the entire staff. They are very understanding/experienced about Ralphie’s behavior and we were able to bring her in through the side door. Dr. Estep has been extremely informative and we feel that we have a positive path forward for Ralphie’s behavioral care. Thank you VCA Front Range!

They were excellent with my extremely anxious dog and fit both my animals into one appointment so I didn’t get stuck there for forever. The prices are fair, dental quote was among the most reasonable in the area but most importantly the staff clearly care deeply about animals as do the veterinarians. Dr. Front took excellent care of my dogs and personally emailed me my pup’s lab results. Overall an excellent experience and it shows how much the practice cares about their patients!
