- AAAmberJul 17, 20251.0We had a terrible experience with Wingate, and I feel compelled to share so others are able to make an informed decision before trusting them with your pets. We boarded our dogs here for a short 2 night trip and one of them had a back leg issue due to a cyst. We were already uneasy about leaving him but after consulting with our trusted vet clinic (who reviewed photos and spoken with us directly) we were reassured he should be fine for a short stay. Unfortunately that was far from the case. During the two night stay his condition deteriorated significantly. We received a call from Wingate stating they are very concerned and needed to bathe and clean him up which we approved of course. We tried moving our flights to return early but we were stuck due to availability. Meanwhile we were met with calls that made us feel talked down to, belittled, blamed while we were already anxious and heartbroken about our poor dogs worsening state.

Funny enough, my cat never had any issues until after I brought him to VCA. Makes me wonder if they gave him the wrong shot and are lying to me about what he really was given. Be safe. Go somewhere else people.
