I was looking for a phone case for my new Pixel 10 (in mid December 2025), and there were a few options on the showroom floor but no prices listed. I enquired, and was given a range of approximate prices with no specificity. The price seemed to depend on the whim of the weird salesperson -- was he on commission? -- and went up once I picked one that I preferred. I did a quick search online and Verizon's own website was selling it for half price -- which is how I learned it wasn't a real Verizon store. He opened the case and asked me to feel it to see how high quality this exquisite product felt to the touch -- reminded me of buying a rug in Istanbul! Too funny, but I wasn't going to spend 2x the money. I walked out and visited the other 3rd-party-operated not-actually-Verizon store in Durango to try my luck there.
