Tristan was the rep to help us out, he did what we seemingly thought was a good and thorough job, but unfortunately made some mistakes when inputting our info and this led to a problem distinguishing my brother as the account owner. Which in turn put him on a few customer service calls to try and remedy so he could also distinguish me as an account manager. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to take their old phone out of the store when trading in for an upgrade. We were told it would be a quick and smooth process, for my brother it was, but for me, it has been a run around and I’m still not guaranteed that we’ll get the credit for my trade in. I took my old phone to a corporate store and they said they cannot take my trade in since I started the transaction at a third party Verizon location, however Tristan said this would not be an issue. I live in Fort Collins and was told this wouldn’t be an issue translating from Denver to Fort Collins, but after a 40 min customer service call, I have to wait for a physical shipping label by mail and then hope and pray the process of shipping my phone to Verizon goes smoothly, which I’m not hopeful about. All this to say, if you plan to trade-in your phone for an upgrade, go to a corporate location. Verify all of your info is on your new phone while you’re there, even if it takes a few hours, it’ll save so much time and hassle down the road. Wish I would’ve known this information prior.
