I went in almost half a week ago asking to get a phone replaced, Vinny rolled his eyes at my every request and made it very clear to the entire room that he was ready to leave his job for the day. I felt like I was dealing with a middle school child. I still do not have my phone after losing it. No one gave me any tracking information and it is past time is supposed to be delivered, I assume something was rushed because he was so eager to leave to get a pedicure done. Only gave me secondhand embarrassment, not a phone.

I switched from Verizon because of how difficult they make everything, and this experience just confirmed it. I’ve spent hours trying to pay my final bill using a rewards card, and every person I talked to gave me a different answer. After being on the phone for over an hour, I was told I had to go in person — only for the store to tell me they can’t help and that I’d have to drive 40 minutes with traffic to a corporate location. I have a job and a million other things to do in a day, so being sent in circles with no real help is just absurd. No one took the time to actually find a solution or even try to help. The Edgewater store is by far the worst — the employees are completely unprofessional and seem more focused on chatting and eating than helping customers. The store itself feels unkempt and uninviting. This kind of customer service is exactly why I left Verizon in the first place.

I’ve been a Verizon customer for 25 years and even left a strong review for this store a few months ago — but what’s happened since has been an absolute disaster. We went into this store with two $120 bills, consolidating into a family plan to save money. Somehow, our bill has been over $400 for three straight months. No one can seem to fix it and nobody has any idea how we will get our money back. Beware of autopay! Every touch point, from call centers to stores, has been a masterclass in incompetence. The reps on the phone flat-out lie just to get good survey scores, claiming they’ve fixed things when they haven’t. The people in the store claim to fix things and they haven’t. Where does one go to actually get something done right at Verizon? Verizon has forgotten all about the customer.
