The reality is that Verizon expects customers to spend well over $1,000 on their products and then treats them poorly in-store. Today, we went to pick up my husband’s $1,400 phone from the pickup locker. The instructions were clear: all that was required was his phone number. When we checked the locker, the phone wasn’t there.
We went inside to ask about the order and were told it wasn’t packed or ready—despite the system stating the day before that it was. We were then told the phone couldn’t be released because the account was under my husband’s father, even though the phone was purchased on my husband’s line and paid for with my husband’s credit card.
The situation deteriorated further when Jazmine attempted to help. She said she would retrieve the order, but when she returned, she suddenly required identification. My husband presented his Colorado mobile ID, which is a legally accepted form of identification in Colorado. She stated that Verizon does not accept mobile IDs and refused to release the phone. When we asked if the phone could simply be placed in the locker—as was the original plan—she refused, stating that ID was now mandatory and the mobile ID was “not good enough.”
Her solution was for us to drive 45 minutes home and 45 minutes back just to present a physical ID card. That expectation is unreasonable and unacceptable, especially for a customer purchasing a $1,400 device and the phone was supposed to be easily picked up in a locker.
We have been loyal Verizon customers for over seven years. Because of this experience, we canceled the entire order. This is not how paying, long-term customers should be treated. Shame on Verizon. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Dayana “helped” us on our most recent visit. Highly unknowledgeable. We tried to buy a new phone case we picked one out for the phone on the wall. She then went to go get a new one in a box and got the jumbo version and we didn’t realize it was the wrong case till we got home. We also had issues with our bill being higher than quoted earlier this month and was told in exact words “it is what it is” This was corrected with Verizon customer service on the phone being a Verizon error but Dayana wouldn’t even look at the bill. I’m just so disappointed and frustrated with Verizon and the help we were provided with.

It would be spectacular if you could call the damn store instead of getting routed to main customer service. My husband could not get the help he needed because im the account holder. I was trying to call to assist...could not get through to this store.

Avoid this Verizon store at all cost. They won’t even call customer service to try to help you get your account set up. They’ll just tell you that’s not how it works with plenty of attitude and have a nice day.
