On Oct 3 I went to Verizon store, and Nathan said locked phone data with no correct phone password would go back to factory reset and all data would be erased. He accessed my Verizon account and said my data could not be transferred with my locked phone EVEN IF I PURCHASED A NEW PHONE. This was incorrect information. Fortunately I went back the next day and ZION was able to make it happen even though phone was locked. I now have a new phone and all data was successfully transferred. A VERY stressful weekend. Ask for Zion if you visit this store. Thank you, Zion.
