My Grandmother passed away, and I was simply trying to close her account. I called, spent an hour on the phone getting the run around only to be told that I would need to take a physical copy of her death certificate to a store nearest me. I visited this location in hopes of this being a swift transaction. Long story short, they said that I (a non-Verizon customer) needed to PAY the past due balance on the lines that no one is using. in order form them to turn around and disconnect the already disconnected lines. All in all, I lost 2 hours of my life dealing with Verizon's foolishness.
