    I received a PS5 disc game as a gift, I own a PS5 digital. I went to the Best Buy on Mississippi and explained the situation in full. The staff there told me an exchange was possible as long as it was the same exact game, even though the seal was broken. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed. At the desk, I was then told they didn’t have the digital version in stock and was sent to the Best Buy at Salida (about 20–30 minutes away), with the understanding that the exchange could be handled there. When I arrived at the Salida location and spoke with the general manager, she told me the exchange was not possible at all. I explained what the Mississippi store had told me. She made a phone call, returned, and said “no one said that,” which i replied with “what am i suppose to do with this then” which she then replied with “try gamestop” and i left. Now I’m stuck with a game I can’t use a gift. after being sent across town based on information that was later denied. This was extremely frustrating and shows a lack of communication and accountability between stores. If the exchange was never possible, I should have been told that upfront instead of wasting time and gas.
