A check-up is also advisable if you have a family history of certain diseases (such as cardiovascular diseases including high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal tumors and many others) or if you have lifestyle habits that could have health consequences (such as nicotine use, excessive alcohol consumption or eating disorders). Certain screening examinations are recommended by medical societies even for healthy individuals. We will be happy to advise you. According to your personal situation, we will advise you on the necessary examinations as well as health measures (such as diet and physical activity). Modern medicine offers many methods to assess your health status and the function of your organs. The basis for the medical assessment is a detailed consultation followed by a physical examination. This may be supplemented by blood and urine tests and, depending on symptoms or if extended screening is desired, technical diagnostic methods such as cardisiography/resting ECG, long-term ECG if necessary, ultrasound, lung function testing, X-ray, Doppler ultrasound of peripheral vessels, or ambulatory oxygen measurement during sleep. If necessary, we advise you regarding further examinations with specialists (such as cardiological assessment, gastrointestinal endoscopy, CT/MRI, etc.).
