Die Central Apotheke im alten Dorfkern besteht bereits seit 1936 und wurde damals von Herrn Eng-Merz als erste und einzige Apotheke in Horgen gegründet. Seither hat die Apotheke lediglich drei Besitzerwechsel erlebt und diente der Horgner Bevölkerung stets als erste Anlaufstelle in Gesundheitsfragen.
