Nova Werke AG

NOVA WERKE AG was founded in 1921 in Zurich. In a small workshop, employees ground cylinders and crankshafts. What began modestly bore fruit after a few years: pistons and piston rings for combustion engines made NOVA WERKE AG renowned far beyond Switzerland’s borders. In March 1970, NOVA WERKE AG relocated to Effretikon (ZH). Almost simultaneously, the company diversified into new fields with high technological content. At the core of this specialization was the business area “High Pressure Technology”, with components, systems, and plants for high-pressure applications up to 10,000 bar. Complementing this, the areas of “Diesel Components” and “Surface Technology” were developed. The services and processes of these three product lines were consolidated by NOVA WERKE AG under the Nova Swiss brand, which was officially registered.
