Kinderwerkstatt Montessori Kindergarten Schule und Kinderkrippe Dübendorf

At Kinderwerkstatt Dübendorf, we accompany children from their very first steps all the way through the sixth grade. Under one roof, we unite a daycare (nursery), kindergarten, and primary school—guided by caring support, the joy of discovery, and a vibrant sense of community. Established in 1993, our institution is distinguished by an experienced, long-standing team that offers children and parents continuity, professional expertise, and a comforting sense of security. A distinctive advantage: Our daily life is fully bilingual from day one. Naturally immersing children in two languages strengthens early linguistic intuition, broadens horizons, and unfolds effortlessly through daily play and shared activities. In our daycare, we lovingly care for children aged three months to three years within a small, family-like setting, guiding them toward a self-determined future grounded in the principles of Maria Montessori and Emmi Pikler. Mindful caregiving, free motor development, and a secure environment cultivate the confidence and safety needed for those vital first steps. Gentle bonding is central to what we do: a thoughtful, individualized settling-in period (Eingewöhnung) is essential to us and completely free of charge. From the age of three, children transition smoothly into the Montessori kindergarten to better meet their growing needs and developmental drive. We continue this journey seamlessly through to primary school (up to 6th grade): In carefully prepared learning environments, children explore with proven Montessori materials, pursue individual interests at their own pace, and nurture their curiosity through creative projects and outdoor nature experiences. Here, children learn to take responsibility for their actions, practice social competencies, and build resilient self-esteem. Movement and physical activity are central to our daily routine. We deliberately avoid fixed, rigid indoor slides; instead, we utilize versatile Hengstenberg equipment that is newly adapted and assembled each day to match the children's evolving needs. Thanks to our direct partnership with Fabrik 11 right next door, even our youngest children enjoy dedicated physical activity sessions with ample space to run, play, and test their motor skills. Another outdoor highlight is our private rooftop terrace with a sandbox, offering the little ones a safe, sunny haven to dig, feel, and explore. Our location is equally convenient: Located at Ringstrasse 20, we are easily accessible—the tram stop is directly in front of the door, making daily family commutes quick, uncomplicated, and safe.
