For the preparation of the dishes we are always looking for the best products, giving priority to those of our region. The environment surrounding the place where you eat must be able to give the food a special flavor, unrepeatable elsewhere. At the grotto Morchino you find an unique and genuine ambiance. We will do everything to make you feel like at home. Since 1842 the Grotto Morchino is owned by the family Olgiati. Pierluigi Olgiati still keeps alive the tradition of genuine and popular people from Ticino and in particular of Lugano.

    Cibo molto buono, atmosfera accogliente. La sera d’estate è molto piacevole cenare all’esterno perché fa freschetto. Abbiamo preso la polenta con il brasato, accompagnati da un buon calice di vino rosso locale. Esperienza molto positiva!

    Eccellente! Molto buono, ottima qualità. Abbiamo preso un tagliere di formaggi, una polenta con brasato al Murchì e una grigliata mista. Brasato tenerissimo, polenta speciale e grigliata top! Vini locali molto buoni. Se siete a Lugano, tappa obbligatoria!

    the grilled dishes were fantastic, with everything cooked to perfection using that technique. Staff were really on point too. Finally a solid spot for dinner near Lugano, with a genuine, welcoming atmosphere and quality ingredients done right. Highly recommend.

    Restaurant coup de cœur. Vraiment top, a quelques minutes de la ville, un cadre incroyablement calme et vraiment joli. La nourriture est vraiment top et rapport qualité prix vraiment bien. Nous avons prix une assiette de charcuterie et fromage en entrée et des mix grill ensuite. Le mix grill est tres copieux. Tout est tres bon et cuit a la perfection, au feu de bois. Superbe découverte et vraiment tres bon moment passer a ce grotto
