Since 1983, the Taketomikai - Martial Arts Mendrisio is a non-profit association that accompanies people of all ages and genders on a path of personal growth through martial arts. It offers courses in self-defence, Karate, Jūjitsu and Kobudō in a convivial and motivating environment where tradition and modernity meet. Teaching is entrusted to university-educated instructors, recognised by Youth and Sport. and the Japanese schools of reference. The courses follow the Ticino school calendar, so when the schools are closed, the Taketomikai is also closed.
