A charming place where the Cassarate River meets Lake Lugano, creating a romantic setting under the shade of three majestic centuries-old plane trees.
Here, history merges with the life of the people of Lugano, offering a new culinary interpretation that celebrates the past with a fresh and contemporary vision, using high-quality ingredients preferably sourced from local suppliers.
On the banks of the Cassarate River stood the Osteria del Porto, which over the years has earned the title of "Antica" (Ancient). Its centuries-old history dates back to the nineteenth century when it was a landing point for goods from barges.
An Osteria, yes, but different: in tones, colors, and signs. A menu proposal between innovation and tradition, with the lake and mountains blending and meeting in the menus of Chef Domenico Rezza.
We accompany the dishes with a selection of local and Italian wines, served with care by our dining staff. And then the special occasions, the happy hours, the exclusive terrace for private events. A venue constantly on the move, searching for new proposals, accompanied by smiles and authentic hospitality.

- KCKARINA CPOct 4, 20215.0Well located lovely outdoors n indoors dining area next to the park by the lakeside. It's romantic ,it's pretty. The food is very good .fish n chips fresh n crispy. Mushroom risotto. Steak n potatoes so beautifully cooked. Clams spaghetti is good . Wine is excellent. The desserts are also with nice touch . 5 star dining Normal swiss prices. Staff are all attentive ...very happy

Il mood chic con mobilio vintage e piatti innovativi degni da essere serviti dai cortesi camerieri. La tartar di manzo che purtroppo dalla tanta fame non sono riuscito a scattare la foto accompagnata da crostoni di pane e burro mi ha aperto le mie papille gustative con il vero sapore di freschezza della carne e continuando con un piatto light “risotto agli asparagi “ che potete vedere nelle foto mi ha stra lasciato meravigliato del vero sapore del asparago che di solito non riesco a distinguere con per il troppo burro che mettono per mantecare.
