Math Private Lessons at OlympIQ
For many pupils mathematics is a closed book which they can't gain any real access to and subsequently struggle with. Of course, there is something that can be done about that! We at OlympIQ Talent School Basel help pupils in gaining a new way to understand mathematics and also to catch up on missed lessons and topics. In private lessons our experienced math teacher can give students the attention they need and coach them individually, in a highly effective way. Once the basics are covered and possible learning gaps have been seen to, it is easier for pupils to take part in their math lessons at school; also, they can gain a new kind of skill set and outlook that will make future math lessons more fun and yield better test results.
We provide private lessons in mathematics to pupils and students of all age groups and all types of schools.
Preparation courses for International Mathematical Olympiad, MOEMS and Math Kangaroo
We at OlympIQ Talent School Basel consider contests a vital opportunity to present challenges to our pupils. The International Mathematical Olympiad, MOEMS and Math Kangaroo are prestigious international contests in the area of mathematics that enable pupils to push beyond the boundaries of their math classes at school and really put on their thinking caps. While highly-gifted pupils can very often solve standard tasks with ease in the classroom, a contest presents them with mathematical problems of a more complex nature, giving them the chance to test their own strengths and weakness. In our preparation courses pupils are given puzzles to solve while having fun and getting to know how they can use mathematics in everyday life. Our courses are designed in order to give pupils the chance to think outside the box and to compete in a supportive and fair framework, assisted by our experienced math teacher. Pupils are also streamed into age-appropriate groups, supporting a strong focus on team work, brainstorming and group discussion. The classes are held in English and German.
