Now, with the founding of A+B Flachdach AG in Basel, the son, Andreas Alt, is continuing the tradition of Asphalt + Baumaterial AG, founded in 1924 by Jürg Alt, into the third generation and currently employs 25 people. We are subject to the Basel-Stadt collective bargaining agreement. We are members of various associations. We train apprentices. BITUMINOUS WATERPROOFING Applications: Flat roofs, terraces, basements, parking garages, groundwater sealing, bridge decks, sewer covers, green roofs. Material: Polymer bitumen waterproofing membranes, bonded or welded, usually in two layers. THERMAL INSULATION Applications: Flat roofs, terraces, basements, floors Materials: Various materials such as polyurethane, polystyrene, mineral wool, or glass in various thicknesses, designs including pitched roofs. PAVING FOR TERRACES Applications: Terraces, flat roofs, walkways, pergolas, canopies, entrances Materials: Cement slabs on gravel or pedestals, in various surface textures, colors, and dimensions. Cement or rubber granulate paving stones on gravel. Drainage and protective layers made of gravel, geotextile, or rubber mats, cement fiberboards. FLAT ROOF GREENING / GRAVEL Applications: Extensive and intensive green roofs for flat roofs, terraces, basement and parking garage ceilings. Materials: As protective and ballast layers on our waterproofing systems. Substrates, seeding, and gravel coverings in various designs. Root barrier and storage membranes, protective fleeces. PLUMBER WORK Applications: For all waterproofing systems, as fastening, watertight termination, or protective covering. Materials: Angle flashing, cover strips, fascia boards, or copings with all accessories such as: drains, vent pipes, flashings, gutters, and expansion joints. Sealant joints in various designs. PLASTIC WATERPROOFING Applications: Flat roofs, terraces, pond waterproofing, green roofs. Materials: Various plastic products in various thicknesses, joints thermally or chemically welded, usually applied in a single layer. MIXED ASPHALT PAVING (MASTIX) Applications: Flat roofs, terraces, parking garages, basement floors, sidewalks, bridge waterproofing. Materials: Various thicknesses and hardnesses, coatings.
