Hotel Tourist The cozy family-run Hotel Tourist is located close to the world-famous Aare Gorge, the famous Reichenbach Falls, the tennis hall, the outdoor swimming pool, and the valley station of the Meiringen-Hasliberg cable cars. The area is also closely associated with Sherlock Holmes. The famous Reichenbach Falls are known as the setting of the legendary confrontation between Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty. Our comfortable restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine. The restaurant and dining hall offer seating for 40 and 80 guests respectively. In fine weather, our garden terrace provides additional seating for 40 guests. One of our best-known specialties is Käseschnitte, a traditional Swiss dish of toasted bread topped with melted cheese. For our younger guests, we offer a children’s playground and a children’s playroom. Lake Brienz is only 10 km from Hotel Tourist.
