If a specific, urgently needed medication is not in stock, we can obtain it within a short period. Continuous education in this area is also a matter of course for us. Digital X-ray Our clinic is equipped with a state-of-the-art X-ray machine using high-frequency technology and organ-specific automation to improve image quality, reduce radiation exposure, and minimize the number of necessary scans. In-House Laboratory We have our own laboratory for hematological and blood chemistry tests (general blood chemistry and specific values such as thyroid hormone, cortisol, bile acids, electrolytes). This enables faster diagnosis, especially in emergencies, leading to quicker and more targeted treatment. We also conduct dermatological exams (skin parasites, fungi), parasitological (Giardia, Tritrichomonas, etc.), and virological (e.g., Parvovirus) stool tests in-house. Ultrasound Our modern ultrasound equipment is essential for diagnosing abdominal organs. A key advantage of sonography over X-rays is that the sound waves used are harmless, even to sensitive tissues like those of unborn animals. Endoscopy We also offer endoscopic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract or airways as a diagnostic tool. Sometimes, surgery can be avoided, or its necessity (such as for large foreign objects) confirmed via camera. For complex endoscopies or arthroscopies, we collaborate with the Thun Animal Clinic.
