About us wilob AG was founded in 1999 with the idea of spreading systemic, resource-oriented thinking in Switzerland and bringing well-known lecturers to the institute. Our mission Our institute is intended to be a place of encounter, a place where research and practice exchange ideas and mutually enrich one another. Our philosophy Based on Prof. Dr. Klaus Grawe, we are convinced that successful therapy / counseling activates resources. In a world full of problems, we find it more helpful to focus on goals and intentions for change rather than remaining fixated on problems. We see the primary task of therapists / counselors as making offers that focus as much attention as possible on the desired experience (attention focusing). Against this background, problems are treated as competencies for one’s own needs that must be considered in achieving goals (utilization). Systemic therapy / counseling aims to integrate different perspectives and insights from various scientific disciplines. This makes it possible to develop broad and complex views of problems and situations and to combine different approaches. We combine - systemic counseling concepts (according to Ludewig, von Schlippe & Schweitzer, among others) with (not exhaustive) - solution-focused therapy concepts (according to Steve de Shazer & Insoo Kim Berg) - hypnosystemic approaches (according to Dr. Gunther Schmidt) - others such as ZRM (Krause & Storch), PSI (Kuhl), salutogenesis (Antonovsky), generic principles (Haken & Schiepek) Research findings are important, and linking them with practice is essential.
