VCA Yucca Valley Animal Hospital is your small town veterinary hospital. I cannot say enough amazing things about VCA Yucca Valley. We walked in unexpectedly with our small senior dog after she had stepped on a jumping cholla, and from the very first moment, the entire staff went above and beyond. They were immediately compassionate, calm, and incredibly caring toward our little girl, treating her with so much gentleness and love during a very stressful situation. What truly set them apart, though, was how they didn’t stop there — they also helped remove cholla from both myself and my wife without hesitation. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to help in every possible way was something we have never experienced before. You can tell this team genuinely cares about both pets and their people. We truly cannot thank them enough, and I can honestly say I have never been more impressed by an entire veterinary staff from top to bottom. Absolutely exceptional care and humanity. THANK YOU!!

Very nice helpful staff. Vets always come across as a bit stoic. It's a very hard profession to be in so I try not to be too judgmental

After several visits to this VCA location, I can confidently assert that it is a poorly operated veterinary clinic. The staff is often combative with clients. Almost every time I'm there I witness someone receiving rude, dismissive, or outright hostile communication from the front-end employees.
As for their duty of care: While picking up my dog after a procedure, I was left alone in an exam room for an hour (no exaggeration, I was watching the clock). Nobody checked in on me once, and by the 45 minute mark I really started to believe something might have gone wrong with my pet. I eventually made my presence known (I'm very patient and empathetic with sevice workers...but there's a limit).
If this is how they treat a human...I have to wonder how my poor puppy must have been treated.
My last visit, and I mean my LAST visit, I was bringing my puppy for a round of vaccines and I wanted the vet to examine my dogs ears, as she had scratched them pretty badly. I showed up 20 minutes early, yet didn't get seen by anyone until 15 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment. I was informed that they didn't have adequate supplies for her exam and testing, despite my appointment being made months in advance, I was asked to come back the following day (because taking time of work is just that easy and convenient).
Now, it turns out they just had to send my dogs heartworm test out to a lab...and didn't actually need me to reschedule, which is great but they also didn't examine her for more than a minute.
I really did try to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn't even recommend this VCA to someone putting their pet down.
