VCA Yucca Valley Animal Hospital is your small town veterinary hospital. We started in 1981 with two veterinarians and have grown along with our Hi-desert community to six veterinarians and an amazing support staff. As a well-established, full service veterinary hospital we offer top-of-the-line medical care and outstanding client service. Services include exams, vaccines, surgeries, dental care, microchipping, domestic & international health certificates, cold laser therapy, diagnostics, x-rays, euthanasia & cremation services. Ultrasounds, soft tissue & orthopedic surgeries are scheduled by appointment with traveling doctors. We offer urgent care most Mondays through Fridays 8am to 5:30 pm. We see avians, reptiles, and pocket pets.

After several visits to this VCA location, I can confidently assert that it is a poorly operated veterinary clinic. The staff is often combative with clients. Almost every time I'm there I witness someone receiving rude, dismissive, or outright hostile communication from the front-end employees.
As for their duty of care: While picking up my dog after a procedure, I was left alone in an exam room for an hour (no exaggeration, I was watching the clock). Nobody checked in on me once, and by the 45 minute mark I really started to believe something might have gone wrong with my pet. I eventually made my presence known (I'm very patient and empathetic with sevice workers...but there's a limit).
If this is how they treat a human...I have to wonder how my poor puppy must have been treated.
My last visit, and I mean my LAST visit, I was bringing my puppy for a round of vaccines and I wanted the vet to examine my dogs ears, as she had scratched them pretty badly. I showed up 20 minutes early, yet didn't get seen by anyone until 15 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment. I was informed that they didn't have adequate supplies for her exam and testing, despite my appointment being made months in advance, I was asked to come back the following day (because taking time of work is just that easy and convenient).
Now, it turns out they just had to send my dogs heartworm test out to a lab...and didn't actually need me to reschedule, which is great but they also didn't examine her for more than a minute.
I really did try to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn't even recommend this VCA to someone putting their pet down.

They were friendly, supportive, and quick. They were easy to get ahold of on the phone and they took great care of our dog, T, for urgent care. I was surprised and delighted by the experience.

Zero stars to Angie. Very unpleasant experience. You can tell she doesn't care about her job. If she treated me with like that i can imagine how she treats the animals. Her attitude was very unnecessary. Please do better.

Very frustrated at the moment. I came home and my cats eye is swollen shut so I called about coming in tonight to get him checked out. I was informed that their emergency hours end at 5pm. They suggested I tried to call at 8am to see if there were any appointments that opened up in the morning. I asked if there was a vet available to give me a run down of things to look out for and keep track of etc. None of the vets could be bothered. They refused to at the very least let me know warning signs or things to keep an eye on in the meantime. I have never in my life experienced such apathy from a veterinary office.
