I scheduled an appointment for January 14th, 2026, at 4:40pm, through my Apple account to replace a phone battery at the Geek Squad/Best Buy of of Mall Boulevard in Victorville. I walk in right on time, and after being asked how I can be helped, I explain I have an appointment at 4:40pm to replace my phone battery. The first thing the Geek Squad rep says is, “We don’t do any phone services after 4pm.” After a few seconds of awkward silence, I tell him I scheduled the appointment through my Apple account for a walk-in service at that time. The Geek Squad rep replies with, “My repair tech leaves at 5. I can get you checked in, but it won’t be worked on until tomorrow.” I tell him I’ll just go somewhere else to get it serviced. His only response was, “Okay,” and he went about his business without missing a beat. First, it wasn’t made clear at all when I set the appointment it would be “after” Geek Squad’s hours of service, because their repair tech leaves at 5pm sharp. Secondly, not a single care was given for any inconvenience this may have caused, no apologies for any misunderstanding over the scheduling, nothing. Just short abrupt answers, as if I were a pain in his neck for coming in so “late”. I’ve worked retail-oriented jobs before, and I understand how it can be a frustrating job. But no matter what sort of day you are having, you still have to show the customer you’re willing to go to bat for them to provide a positive experience, even if it means looking for a silver lining. You never know who’s walking into your establishment, and it could be a customer lost for life over that one interaction. This was anything but a positive experience, and I will never reconsider Geek Squad for any services. I will be steering all my friends, family, and Google shoppers, away from big box stores like Best Buy/Geek Squad for device servicing. Sir, I hope you realize how much you cost your company with your 1-star performance. My visit would have been a cool $89. But word of mouth is a two-edged sword; it works for or against a business exponentially. If the sharing of my experience persuades ten other people to go somewhere else to get a new battery, then my $89 just grew to $979 in lost business.

Only $14.99 to have a glass cover installed on a tablet, got 2 done (did bring my own to have them install). The guys I worked with were nice and professional. Didn't take long, no appointments needed for something small like this.

It’s the worst customer service. They came to “fix” my laundry machine and they make another appointment and cancelled it and make another appointment and again cancelled it. And when I call customer service they couldn’t help me they ask me if I wanted another appointment. I ask to talk to a supervisor and they told me they can not transfer me to a superviso. What a customer service. They don’t deserve any star.
