- KLKevin LeonJan 28, 20241.0I don’t trust their business practice. I don’t blame the young employee, probably following orders from higher up’s, but I made an appointment to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max battery changed. When I went in, they ran a diagnostic and told me I’d need the battery changed for $89 (which was expected). However, I was told that the diagnostic showed my iPhone’s speakers were not working right and they’d need to change out my screen for it to be fixed (an additional $300). I said I’m not there for that, I just want my battery changed. I was told that Apple makes it mandatory for them to fix the issue. I asked if I can just have my battery changed and was told no. I later went to Apple and they were confused why I was being forced have my speaker and screen switched. Apple in Pleasanton changed my battery within the hour for $89. Don’t trust Geek Squad for your Apple products, dishonest business practices.
