    The absolute worst phone answering virtual assistant I have ever run into and there is not a close second. All I wanted to do was check on an open box item. After 4 phone calls in to the virtual assistant where I asked for customer service like 10 times - got nowhere then got hung up on twice - I'm calling up Crutchfield which I am pretty sure will answer the phone and give me what I want. Does Best Buy really not rigorously check their VA to insure it actually works?

    BUYER BEWARE! Do not buy major appliances at Best Buy without doing due diligence. The customer is NOT number one at Best Buy; their policies are. They display Zero customer focus, provide no installation, and will basically dump the appliance in your home, providing no set-up and walking out, despite being told specifically what to do. NO INSTALLATION PROVIDED: Do not trust Best Buy with installation of any sort. There is no one responsible at Best Buy. They will not "install" the appliance purchased to benefit the customer. They operate with a technically incompetent rag rag subcontractor crew controlled by irresponsible administrators whose sole interest is enforcing arbitrary guidelines provided by their legal department. You COULD be left with an un-leveled, 400 lb safety hazard in your kitchen. THE INCIDENT REPORT: In this instance, a 400 lb GE Café refrigerator—a unit no customer can move on their own—was left abandoned. The appliance was delivered with ultra-short shipping screws that were physically incapable of leveling the unit in a standard alcove. The crew left the unit tilting forward 15 DEGREES which the customer had to level on his own. As a result of the ultra short 0.75" long screws, the leveling screws even if fully pulled out, could not level the refrigerator - leaving the unit titling forward between 2 and 5 degrees—a direct violation of manufacturer safety specifications. The customer had to buy the correct hardware. Despite being provided with the correct hardware and specific instructions for a permanent fix, the Best Buy crew refused to provide the requested correction or even assistance and drove off ABANDONING THE CUSTOMER. INATTENTION TO DETAIL: Rather than using proper frame-loading techniques to safely position the 400 lb unit, the crew attempted to extract the refrigerator by yanking on the decorative door handles. This lack of mechanical precision risks permanent frame racking and hinge-pin misalignment. TECHNICAL ABANDONMENT: When presented with high-tensile 2.1875" precision screws with inverted T- locking nuts—hardware specifically sourced to fix the manufacturer's short-screw defect—the crew declared it "non-standard" and abandoned the project. They left the unit improperly seated and unstable, leaving it to the homeowner to perform any correction, while the behemoth cannot be moved by a single person. Worry about this if you are not built like an ox. Think of the senior or an old lady being treated this way. Unconscionable! FINAL AUDIT: If your installation requires more than a screwdriver and a prayer, find a private contractor. Best Buy is a logistics company governed by a legal department, with ZERO CUSTOMER FOCUS -- in violation of all prevailing ISO standards. V

    This is probably the best Best Buy I've ever seen. It's huge, and the stock constantly surprises me. There have been many occasions when I'm at a different location looking for a product, and they say "Oh, we don't have it, but there's one in Thousand Oaks". They have all the stuff you expect, but also a wide selection of computer parts and building accessories, camera lenses, kitchen gadgets, smart home tech, and other consumer electronics that are otherwise hard to find in a brick and mortar store. I have found sometimes the checkout line moves very slow. But the on-floor staff are all super friendly and helpful. I stop in here from time to time just to be inspired by gadgets!
