I am extremely upset about being tricked into buying a membership just to get my MacBook looked at. I paid $197.98 because I was told it would be cheaper than paying for the diagnostic and repair separately. They told me the diagnostic alone was $99, and that the total cost for diagnostic and repair could be over $400, so the membership would save me money. After purchasing the membership, they ran the same diagnostic that I had already explained to them myself, and then at the last minute told me they couldn’t fix my MacBook anyway. I went back to the store and requested a refund. The manager told me to call their support number to request a full refund. When I called, they told me the refund would be prorated, and they only want to refund me $25. None of the details about how their memberships work were clearly disclosed when I purchased it. I bought this membership on Saturday, and now I’m out over $172 for absolutely nothing. Save your time and money and do not buy these memberships thinking you’ll save money. In my case, it ended up costing me more.

My family member went to Best Buy. She want to buy Apple Card. Closing manager was rude and disrespectful. He told her are being scammed have you on camera. Did not let her buy Apple Card. He said the next time you buy Apple Card you will be kick out the store. This person is in her 70’. Needless to say she will never buy anything there again. Wonder if closing manager talks to his mom like this.

Hey jocks, be kind to the nerds at Best Buy! Came in just before closing time to look for a long micro-USB cable - which I was expecting to either be outrageously expensive or obsolete. It sure took me a long time in 1 section, but I struggled to find it in a second section. However in that second section, a major nerd was enthusiastic about educating my port terminology and helped me find the size I needed of what I wrongly thought was called a USBA. That what I now correctly call a long micro-USB had a good price too. The guy was so nerdy that it was funny. Thank You Nerd!

Very terrible i bought a washer 2 days ago and they would drop it off and take the old washer out on Friday They left they did not take out the washer. They told me the hose was leaking. We changed the hose they left to help my neighbor before they did anything so i did everything moving it in and talking the old out.

If you’ve ever wondered how complicated it can be to give a store your money, Best Buy Santa Rosa has the answer. I went in to buy an open-box Sony Bravia that was literally sitting in front of me. The price in store was about $100 higher than the price on their website, and instead of simply honoring the online price or assisting with the purchase at the register, I was told I needed to buy it online myself because they weren’t “permitted” to lower it further. So I was standing in the store… being told to go shop on the internet. It got more complicated when I needed to split payment across two cards, which apparently was impossible due to “policy.” The only workaround available was for me to buy a gift card so I could complete the order online myself which by the way I came up with myself as the staff failed to come up with a solution. When I asked how long it would take for the item to be ready, the answer was, “I don’t know.” Not exactly confidence-inspiring when you’re spending this much money. Then came the condition issues. The TV was labeled “Excellent,” yet it didn’t include the original box. It was wrapped in bubble wrap, and the screen and frame were visibly dirty, like nobody had even bothered to wipe it down before handing it over. That doesn’t align with what most customers would reasonably expect from an “Excellent” open-box designation. The TV itself is great, but the buying experience was unnecessarily frustrating from start to finish. I’m sharing this in the hope that store leadership or corporate reviews these processes, because there’s clearly a disconnect between policy and basic customer experience. Customers who walk into a store ready to spend money shouldn’t be sent home to complete an online order or receive products that don’t meet the stated condition standards.
