  Came in today asking about a battery replacement for my ASUS laptop and met a middle-aged, Indian looking dude at the front counter with glasses and a bald head. He told me that they do not sell the batteries, which I perfectly understood. So I asked the TECH EXPERT to help me find the battery online since I couldn't find it the night before. He kept saying the same thing about how they do not sell the battery (which again, I understood), and I kept repeating the fact that I just need help finding the resellers that do sell them. I have a feeling that he knew he was able to help me find the battery, and he simply refused to help me. No one else was in line , so I would have been a bit more understanding if there was a line of people that actually needed repairs, but it was just me. Fire this guy. Absolutely useless as a geek squad employee working customer service.

  There really needs to be more stars for the geek squad! On Monday, May 19, I found out that my computer had been hacked and locked. I went to my bank because I found out that my financials have been compromised so I had to get a new debit card, new credit cards, etc. My bank told me that I could not have access to online banking, which I do every single morning, Until they have proof from a professional that there is no malware on my laptop. I took my laptop this morning to the geek squad in San Marcos and they told me it could be 2 to 4 days. I work from home and absolutely need my laptop. This afternoon I may do with my iPhone. Then I get this wonderful text about 630 telling me I can come pick up my laptop, it’s done! Not only did that clear out a malware that wasn’t even caught by my malware scan they cleaned up my laptop and even did all the updates. The geek squad is absolutely amazing!

  Good luck if you're calling to schedule an appointment! After holding the line for a long time, you notice they barely speak English. The guy asked my if I wanted to install a gas stove in my car! I said, are you really asking me if I want a gas stove installed in my car? He hesitated but repeated himself! I just hung up! Update: still one star. They sold me the wrong cameras, then they updated. The cameras lag awfully. They also installed the monitor and recorder in my front office where it's accessible by everyone, without asking where I wanted it.
