My dog recently got radiation done here not to long ago. This place is the only reason my dog is still alive. I can’t believe how affordable his treatment was. Half of what I thought I was going to pay. But they are not only affordable but also knowledgeable and kind. I talked to several specialist until I land here. I was stressed and confused until I talked to this team, they helped me actually understand so much much better what was going on and I felt confident making a decision as what to do next. I love this location and I highly suggestion them to anyone looking for a vet or a specialist.

Our sweet baby Larka came in to have cancer radiation treatment and Dr. Hansen and her team were fantastic. They were so sweet and informative, they answered all of our questions and treated our kitty well. We appreciate all you’ve done for us and Larka and will never forget you in our cancer journey. Thank you for combing out her belly matts and making her as comfey as possible. We can’t believe the VCA is shutting this location down, it’s a tragedy. Eternally grateful for y’all.. 💗

When my dog was diagnosed with cancer, I was devastated and felt like I had run out of options. After a very difficult experience elsewhere, I made the decision myself to call VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists and schedule with Dr. Julia Colosi. It was one of the most important decisions I have ever made for my dog.
From the very first appointment, Dr. Colosi was everything you hope a specialist will be - knowledgeable, thoughtful, calm, and deeply compassionate. She did not rush us. She explained every option clearly and honestly. She was realistic without being cold, and hopeful without being misleading.
What sets Dr. Colosi apart is not just her expertise - although that is exceptional - but her heart. She treats her patients as if they are her own. She searches for every possible avenue that could give them a chance. You can feel that she is not simply following a protocol; she is invested.
Because of her treatment plan and oversight, my dog is now in full remission. Those words still feel surreal to say.
I am 44 years old and have owned pets my entire life. I have never met a veterinarian who combines intelligence, research-driven medicine, empathy, and dedication the way Dr. Colosi does.
If you are facing a cancer diagnosis with your pet, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is not just an oncologist - she is the kind of doctor who changes outcomes and restores hope when you feel like you have none left.
I also want to recognize Laura, the head nurse. She is just as compassionate and exceptional in her care. My dog absolutely adores her - every time we pull into the parking lot, he gets excited because he knows he gets to see Laura and Dr. Colosi. her calm, loving presence has meant more to us than I can put into words.

Terrible experience as we tried to go for a free first exam they canceled on us twice and now won’t honor the coupon as we are a “returning client” but have not even got to see a vet wouldn’t recommend this hospital

I do not recommend this clinic. After my cat came in for an examination, I noticed new symptoms at home that were not mentioned at all in the exam report. This made me question whether the examination was conducted thoroughly.
When I followed up by email to ask about these symptoms and requested further evaluation, the veterinarian who performed the exam did not provide any medical guidance or explanation regarding my cat’s condition. Instead, the response was emotional and unprofessional, and I was directly told to transfer my cat to another hospital.
As a pet owner seeking clarity and responsible medical advice, this experience was disappointing and concerning.
