WARNING- Don’t go to geek squad SF on Harrison.
The worst experience for a simple laptop repair. My computer was making a hissing sound and I knew the inside needed cleaning. First , they make you join their annual auto renewing membership for $195. No other option to receive service. The technician quoted 3-5 days for the repair and even indicated it would probably be done sooner. I checked my status of my repair online everyday and nothing besides that my machine was checked in and that it was currently getting repaired. On day 5, I finally try calling the store and come to find out that you can’t actually talk someone at the store about your repair and that they advise to check the status online. After insisting that it’s been 5 days and I wanted more information, the cs rep said someone will get back to me. Well nobody got back to me but magically I got a new work order number and message that my machine was being repaired within an hour. And then suddenly a message a couple of hours later that it was ready for pickup. I made an appointment to pick up and of course had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time to have someone help me. In speaking to the technician, he admitted that my original work order hadn’t been processed correctly and that nobody had worked on my machine the entire time until I called 5 days later. And if I want a refund, you have to send an email to support.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.
IF ITS FOR A APPLE PRODUCT JUST GO TO APPLE STORE. It took me 2.5 hours just to get them to ship my laptop to apple to get repairs. I had an appointment and no one took the time to even tell me when I would be helped. I had to ask them every 10 minute for an hour for someone to finally help. And when they did it THEY DIDN’T KNOW THERE SUPPORT LOGIN AND TOOK THEM OVER 1.5 to figure out the paperwork to get my device to be shipped.
there was literally 1 asian guy who was helping people and everyone else was just walking around or going to the back private area.
This was a new hell. never again. except i’m now here to pick up my laptop and again no one greets you and the same asian guy is working while everyone else is walking around or hiding in the back.
this time it only took 30 minutes.

1. The data will be wiped off, for a screen repair
2. They charge $100 for service fee, even though the repair is fully covered by Apple care. This is a hidden clause hide in the bottom of 1st page, even though the 2nd page show $0 balance

I still have no faith in Best Buy’s call center; however, JONATHAN from the Geek Squad renewed my faith in the Geek Squad. He was professional, very pleasant and had EMPATHY for my frustrations!! Plus, based on what I shared and what he could see, he was able to fix my television!
The Call Center (once again) got my issues wrong!! Last week, they sent out installers; didn’t need anything installed. This time, they told Jonathan that I had no power (wrong) and probably needed a part to repair the problem (wrong)!!
Smh…the call center agents are polite but they don’t LISTEN!!
Thanks to Jonathan, I have a pretty television that works!!🙏🏽
