I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Poon! My dog Luna gets very anxious at the vet — she was pacing, sniffing, and wouldn’t sit still in the waiting room. The moment Dr. Poon walked in, her bubbly personality filled the room. She immediately got down on the floor to Luna’s level, letting Luna lick her face and showering her with affection. Within minutes, Luna was calm and relaxed — even lying comfortably on the exam room floor like she was at home on the couch! Dr. Poon took the time to get to know Luna, and during the exam she was able to draw blood and detect a tumor that needed to be removed. On the day of surgery, Dr. Poon personally called me to reassure me that everything went smoothly. I’ve had some bad experiences with the VCA in the past, but now that Dr. Poon is here, I finally feel confident bringing Luna back. If she ever moves to another clinic, we’ll follow her — that’s how much we trust and appreciate her amazing, professional, and loving care.

Love the vet and all their vet techs! My dog, Dyson, like many dogs are worried about going to the vet. The Country Oak team are very good about making the visit a good one. Very patient and so kind. They have slowly undone the damage done by his first vet experience. I really appreciate their kind approach.

This place is fantastic. I took my cat here for years until she passed. They were so nice and helped her passing be as peaceful as possible. When I found a cat in my backyard I took her to them to scan for a chip. They got us into a room and gave us amazing support and didn't change us anything and even sent us home with some food and treats.

I have 2 pets under my account and you still have to add separate payment methods for each. Very poor, outdated systems & service around that.

We have been bringing our fur babies here for many years. I always thought they overcharged for the services provided. My sweetie was really happy with the environment and thought the care was really good so we continued bringing our babies. Several months ago I brought in my 18 months old chihuahua due to some issues he was having with walking. After a 5 minutes evaluation the veterinarian determined that he would never be able to walk again or control his bowel or bladder. I was informed they could do a surgery, however there was no guarantees that he would be able to walk after. The quote for this surgery was $12,000 to $16,000!!! After explaining that I could not afford that amount and could not get a loan to cover such a high amount, they offered to kill him for me...even recommended it. I did not want that to be his final moments...in pain and afraid...so we decided to have it done at home for his comfort. The very next day he was trying very hard to walk and it appeared that he was not ready to give up on life...so we decided not to give up on him. After about 2 weeks he walking again and able to control his bladder and bowels. After about 6 weeks he was running around and being a puppy again. Today he back to normal and a happy little guy. Later I got a notification that my fur babies needed to get vaccine updates and rabies shots. I was informed that it would be $240 per pet. I have 5 dogs so about $1,200 for all of them. It was explained that the price was so high because of office visit costs. Unable to afford it I contacted the SPCA and was able to get all 5 of my babies vaccines, rabies shots, and lime disease plus heartworm and flea and tick prevention for $30 each. It was a total of $150 for all 5. I absolutely love my fur babies and want them to have great care. The cost to bring them to a place that wants to kill them because I can't afford to pay their overcharged prices is too much. I have since found more affordable and better veterinarian that cares more about my pets than getting paid elsewhere obviously. I would not suggest this place to anyone....ever!!
