My idiot cat found a piece of plastic ribbon outside and decided that it would make a delicious dessert, despite a full food bowl. One intestinal blockage later, and I return him to VCA RP for emergency surgery (that's right, it's not his first visit).
Every single staff member I've encountered here has been incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. I was half-delirious bringing my silly boy in the middle of the night so I don't remember many names, but Jordyn in particular was incredibly friendly. Great communication from the entire team pre-, during, and post-surgery. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Made a stressful experience super smooth. Thank you.

I cannot speak highly enough of this location. The front staff are so sweet, supportive and caring. The techs, nurses, and the veterinarian did an amazing job triaging, diagnosing and caring for my baby girl. The wait times were shorter than what they said, but I still expected to be what they said. We all have emergencies with our fur babies and we expect immediate results but working in the medical field I completely understand prioritization.
I also take one of my fur babies here for the cardiologist. Dr. McDonald is amazing experienced and wonderful with him. I highly recommend this place for regular care and emergency care.

The Saturday before last, our seemingly healthy, happy 12-year-old chihuahua (Lucy) started coughing and rapidly breathing. Growing concerned, we called a vet clinic who referred us to VCA - Rohnert Park.
Upon arrival, VCA staff quickly triaged and began treating her. It turned out that she was experiencing congenital heart failure and fluid was backing up into her lungs. Doctor DeGregory explained to us what was going on and recommended a course of treatment, including medication and oxygen.
It broke our heart to leave her overnight - our dog was scared and so were we. But when we returned in the morning, Lucy was doing markedly better. She's now been home the past week + and is just about seems like her old self. She'll have to be medicated for the rest of her life, but we're so grateful for this extra time we have with her.
Thank you to VCA - Rohnert Park for saving our Lucy's life. We are especially appreciative to Dr. DeGregory and to our intake tech Brandon - both of whom treated us and Lucy with compassion and kindness during a really difficult time.

This staff was amazing the night I brought in my very sick dog . They all were so kind, supportive and caring !
To the receptionist Susan, vet assistants , and doctor , thank you for all the support after we had to make the difficult decision to put our sick pup down. They made our last few moments with our girl Cleo so memorable and made us feel very comfortable. A few days later we received this beautiful card in the mail.. made us feel so good about our choice with taking Cleo to the Rohnert Park VCA.
We will never forget how special you guys made us feel during this heartbreaking moment of our lives . Thank you !
