We are always met with kind individuals at the front desk and the doctors have been wonderful. It blew my mind how amazing our first visit was and the second one was even better! - JSJessica SmithMar 21, 20171.0Brought my pup in for a little diarrhea. First they said they had no idea what it was and said they had to run all these tests. At the end of the visit, the vet turns to me and says they've seen "80 cases of gastroenteritis this week". I was SHOCKED. Why would run all these tests if you already knew of an outbreak in the area and had treated nearly 100 cases this week alone?! I was told it was nothing serious, and prescribed some meds, and slapped with a $500 bill. On the bill, I was charged for a chest X ray to be sent out for review by a radiologist, but oddly enough, the "outside radiologist" and the ordering vet were one and the same. This was obviously unethical but I just wanted to take my dog home and let him rest. I took him home and gave him the meds, but the meds made him worse. Now, instead of diarrhea, he had constipation and his belly was obviously distended. Something wasn't right, so I took him back a few days later. Again, they ran a bunch of tests and slapped me with another huge bill. I decided to take the dog off the meds after a few days and he got better, no thanks to this place. VCA McClave is a joke. Don't take your pets there if you love them; they will give you crappy medical care, slap you with a huge bill, and be rude to you the whole time. Shame on you VCA. NEVER AGAIN
