I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at the Apple Victoria Gardens store.
My 75-year-old father and I went in intending to purchase multiple iPhones. We were asked to wait at a table, which we did patiently. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we noticed that customers who arrived after us were assisted first and were already completing payment. No one checked on us or explained the delay.
When we were finally helped, there was no apology for the long wait. Instead, the interaction quickly became uncomfortable and humiliating. The employee imposed restrictive purchasing conditions and repeatedly questioned whether my elderly father “independently” owned his phone, his Apple Pay account, his credit card, and even whether the cash he was using belonged to him.
I was explicitly told I could not assist my father during payment, and that cash could not be used if it came from my bag — as if ownership of physical cash could be determined this way. Multiple staff members and a manager were present and could hear the interaction, yet no one intervened.
My father does not speak English and did not understand why he was being treated this way. The entire experience lasted about an hour and a half, during which he was clearly uncomfortable. Seeing an elderly customer treated with such suspicion and lack of respect was heartbreaking.
I have been an Apple customer for over 10 years and have visited Apple Stores across multiple countries. I have never experienced anything like this. The behavior we encountered felt discriminatory and demeaning, and it raises serious concerns about how this store treats customers of different backgrounds — especially elderly customers and those who do not speak English.
This experience was completely inconsistent with Apple’s values and standards of customer service. I would strongly caution others before choosing this location.

Terrible experience from Genius Bar and manager. They will waste your time and try projecting expertise to compensate for incompetence. Don’t waste your time, find another store.

Apple locks iMessage to its own devices, which makes full texting on Windows basically impossible. That is not a tech limitation, it is a policy choice.
They do not provide real API access, so Microsoft can only mirror basic messages over Bluetooth. The result is half working threads, no real history, and constant friction.
Android proves it can be done. Apple just doesnt allow it.

I researched computers for a couple weeks just needed to see sizes in person. Saw they have them available today to pick up. I went to the store and don’t realize that the associate changing the charger meant that “they didn’t have any” and it would’ve 2-3 weeks to get. She left me alone while helping like 3 people at once telling me to add my info and finalize it. Well if I’m going to do it on my own and type everything in myself I’ll just go do it at home and not on a computer everyone’s using. When I get home I realize the way I wanted to order it before she changed the charger type was there and I could have gotten it today! So I drove a hour and a half dragged my kid down there for no reason and to come home and just order it myself anyway shipped in 2 days or ready and I can drive all the way back. I know a $1600 purchase isn’t a huge deal to them but it was an experience I was excited for that was a waste of time and infuriating later knowing I could have walked out of there with what I wanted… like it was there the whole time!!!! Please communicate with your employees!
