  Absolutely terrible customer service at the Apple Store in Conestoga Mall, Waterloo. The staff are unfriendly, unprofessional, and seem completely uninterested in helping customers. Even worse, the managers are rude, dismissive, and unwilling to assist or resolve issues. For a company like Apple, you would expect a much higher standard of customer service. Unfortunately, this location falls far below those expectations. Management seriously needs to understand what customer service actually means and how customers deserve to be treated. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The employee RAJA was rude, dismissive, and seemed more interested in arguing than understanding or solving the problem. This is not the first time we have experienced this kind of treatment in apple store We purchased an iPhone 18 Pro on October 1, 2026, around 2 PM. The phone was not fully functional until around 10 PM, and then we encountered another issue related to storage. My wife has an iCloud backup and sufficient iCloud storage. However, when she tried to delete photos and videos from the phone, they were not actually being deleted and were not appearing in the Recently Deleted folder. We tried restart the phone about six times, but the same problem continued. That is why we went to the Apple Store—to get help understanding and fixing the issue. We spoke with Raja and explained the problem. We demonstrated multiple times that when we deleted photos and videos, they were not being deleted and were not moving to the Recently Deleted folder. Instead of first understanding the issue, his response was essentially, “You should buy new phone with more storage”. My wife clearly explained that she already had an iCloud backup and enough iCloud storage. We were trying to delete data from the phone because there was a storage issue, but the deletion itself was not working properly. Raja then showed us that the phone’s storage was full and kept saying, “Look, look, your storage is full.” We told him that we already knew the storage was full—that was exactly why we were trying to delete the photos and videos. The issue was that the deleted items were not actually being removed. We explained the same issue at least three times, but instead of trying to troubleshoot it, he continued to insist that we needed a phone with more storage and that having too much data was the reason the deletion wasn’t working(What are you saying?) The attitude, lack of patience, and lack of willingness to understand the actual problem were extremely frustrating. Customers come to Apple Store employees because they expect knowledgeable assistance—not to be dismissed or spoken to rudely. Please provide better training and hire staff who are willing to listen, understand the problem, and genuinely help customers.

  I recently purchased an iPhone 18 Pro from Apple at Conestoga Mall. My initial experience with an employee named May was good. However, when I returned later to ask about the availability of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, my experience with May was completely different. I found him to be extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The way I was spoken to and treated was very disappointing, especially considering my previous interaction with him had been positive. I eventually purchased the iPhone 18 Pro Max from another Apple Store and returned to Conestoga Mall to return my iPhone 18 Pro. This time, I was assisted by an employee named Monet, who was very sweet, welcoming, and professional. His attitude and customer service were greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, despite the positive experience with Monet, my interaction with May significantly affected my overall impression of the Apple Conestoga Mall location. Customer service plays a major role in the Apple Store experience, and I hope greater attention is given to ensuring customers are treated respectfully and professionally at every visit.

  Brought my AirPods in because the charging case was glitching, but the technicians completely ignored this and refused to fix the actual issue. Instead they handed me replacement airpod stems. Those replacement buds performed noticeably worse than my originals, coming straight out of the box with static and mic issues. I went back and they just repeated the same standard script until my warranty expired. Super frustrating customer service. I ended up worse off than when I walked in. Waste of $400.

  The manager on duty was very rude and condescending when we walked in to recycle an IPad. Walked off with little explanation and not 1 person walked up to check in or offer any customer service for a form and 1 minute. A very kind younger employee offered so much help and was very timely and valuable to our time. They only want to talk with you when they get commission off of you. Very dissapointed with the attitudes in that store. And thank you to the one kind girl who chose to help us despite not getting commission from the return.
