Honestly had a terrible experience. I was looking to purchase a LaCie 1TB external HDD. The first person I asked pointed to a display of microsd cards. Then told me there was more at the front so I went up to the front and there was none there. Then I went to look for a tripod instead and surprisingly happened to stumble upon LaCie 2TB HDD’s when I asked someone if they had any 1TB drives in stock I was once again rudely pointed towards the front where there wasnt any. Ya’ll gotta work on your customer service cuz I didnt end up buying either a tripod or a drive.

I overheard a black female employee on the date of May 6 2026 around 7pm disrespectfully scolding a male customer who politely asked for a copy of his receipt. Her behavior was absolutely disgusting and when he asked for a manager to help him with the situation. she didn't even want to bring a manager over. Infact she said "why would I bring a manager over for you, when I already told you the outcome of this situation". I have never seen such a level of unprofessionalism in my entire life. Shame on her and shame on bestbuy for allowing this woman to Still have a job here.the situation left such a bad taste in my mouth that I no longer had interest in buying anything and left the store.

I received very poor customer service while visiting the customer service location inside the store. I requested to have my receipt emailed to me, but the customer service representative ( a black young lady) was unable to assist. I then politely asked to speak with a manager, as I believed they may be able to help resolve the issue. In response, the representative replied in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner, saying, “Why would I call the manager for? I already told you what the situation was,” and “I have been working for 2 years, you don’t think I know what the situation is?” Simply asking to speak with a manager should not have resulted in this type of response. The interaction left me feeling disrespected, belittled, and uncomfortable as a customer.

*** Today, you lost a lifetime customer **** 2026-05-03 Around 11 AM, my son and I visited this store to purchase a budget TV for our 8‑month stay in Toronto. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The Samsung representative showed no interest the moment I mentioned my budget was around $350. We then spoke with another employee — the person setting up the Dyson demo — who showed us to a Hisense TV but showed no willingness to explain other options or help us compare. Then Jeffrey approached us, and the experience immediately improved. He did an excellent job showing us multiple models and helping us understand our choices. We became interested in a Pioneer TV that was connected to the Dyson demo. Jeffrey took us there so we could see the TV. The demo hadn’t started yet, and the TV was displaying the Pioneer reel. While we were standing there evaluating the TV, the same Best Buy employee setting up Dyson demo walked over, removed the USB running the demo reel, and walked away — fully aware that we were standing closer and in the middle of considering a purchase. It was disrespectful and dismissive. After Dyson agents also mentioned they have more time. Jeffrey apologized repeatedly and tried to show us other models, but by that point, the experience was already ruined. On our way out, I asked to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, her response was equally disappointing. After I explained what happened, she looked at me, said “ya ya, I apologize,” and then looked away. No concern, no professionalism, and no attempt to address the situation. Best Buy should learn customer care from employees like Jeffrey, because he was the only person who made any effort to help. Jeffery should get a 5 stars, but rest deserves zero stars we went home and placed an order with Costco instead. It will be delivered within a few hours.

Late post from March 2026 but still valid. The cellphone department at this location truly has a strong team. In my short time here as I was pre-ordering my new Google Pixel 10A the day before launch. I seen the great teamwork their team has and I'd like to highlight a few of them. Branavan introduced the Google phone for me and showed me it's not so different from the Samsung as it's also android but at a much more affordable price. Verdant was very patient and attentive with me with next day as I was purchasing my phone. There was a slight hiccup with the system and the length of time I had to wait unfortunately made my blood sugar drop. I started to shake and he very kindly offered me some snacks to help raise my blood sugar. In the end his kindness to another human being is what I wanted to let you as the employer be aware of. Last but not least Faisal the expert from Google. He was super down to earth and very knowledgeable about everything to do with Google. He took extra time to help me get acquainted with my new cellphone and I appreciate all his expertise help. All in all Best Buy you have a great cellphone department at this Yonge and Bay location. Please treat them kindly as they treat your customers.
