Bought a Samsung Galaxy A17 5G phone (unlocked). It worked in North America using an Australian SIM card with roaming data. However, when I've returned home the phone does not work with mobile data (can only use wi-fi) rendering it useless. Beware.
Update: The 5G frequency band in Australia is different from elsewhere thus why it won't work everywhere.

“I had a great shopping experience here! They carry an amazing range of tech accessories, wireless earbuds and audio gear. The product quality is very good, sound is crisp, bass is clear and long battery life. Staff was super polite and knowledgeable and helped me pick out the exact model I needed. Definitely check them out for high quality gadgets at reasonable prices!

Genuinely one of the most pathetic retail experiences I have had in a long time.
I went to Best Buy to buy Bose headphones in black and gold and an HDMI cord. I checked the website beforehand and confirmed the headphones were in stock. I knew exactly what I wanted. This should have taken 15 to 20 minutes. Instead, I was there for well over an hour.
The headphones were not in the locked display case, so I asked an employee where they were. He barely looked before telling me they were sold out. I asked another employee to verify, and she did not even turn around or make eye contact. She just waved me off and said they were sold out too.
I decided to settle for the black version. An employee said someone would come unlock the display case. Thirty minutes later, nobody had come. I kept asking for help and was either dismissed or met with blank stares.
Fed up, I went on the Best Buy website while standing in the store. Sure enough, the exact black and gold headphones that two employees told me were sold out were showing as in stock and available for pickup.
So I placed a pickup order just to get someone to find them.
When I went to the pickup counter, the employee told me I could not pick them up because bank authorization could take up to 4 days. What is the point of offering store pickup then? I have placed pickup orders at plenty of other retailers, and when an item is in stock, it is typically available the same day.
I explained that the only reason I even placed the pickup order was because two employees had told me the headphones were sold out. She then told me they were not sold out, disappeared for about 30 minutes, and came back with the exact pair I originally wanted. So they were there the entire time. The other employees simply could not be bothered to actually check.
Then checkout somehow made things worse. I was told there was a $250 limit per credit card, meaning larger purchases had to be split across multiple cards. At an electronics store where so many products cost more than $250, that is ridiculous.
And to top it all off, an employee put my HDMI cord in someone else's bag. Thankfully, I noticed and caught it.
A 15 minute purchase turned into well over an hour of waiting, being dismissed, being given incorrect information, and eventually having to use Best Buy's own website to prove that the product I wanted was actually in stock.
Every single touchpoint was frustrating. The lack of basic customer service, and attention to detail was unbelievable. If customers have to place pickup orders from inside the store just to get employees to locate products that are already in stock, what exactly is the point of the physical store?
This location might as well give up the retail space and function online.
I purchased a laptop from this store because I was offered an upfront discount. However, I later discovered there was a hidden monthly fee attached to the purchase. This was never explained to me during the sale. In the end, the total cost of these monthly payments is more than the discount I received, making the "discount" misleading.
When I contacted them, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I had to continue paying for at least a year before I could even try to cancel, even though the plan was originally set up for five years. This should have been clearly communicated at the time of purchase.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The only positive part of my experience was the agent who calmly explained the situation, even though he wasn't able to resolve it. I appreciate his professionalism, but I will never shop here again.
