I had a very disappointing experience at this Apple Store.
I went there two days ago because my iPhone battery was draining extremely quickly. The technician told me that the issue was likely caused by the apps and recommended restoring the phone. I agreed and trusted their advice.
Unfortunately, the process was extremely frustrating. The technician who initially helped me disappeared after a while, and another technician took over. I kept getting errors during the procedure, and after the second technician also disappeared, I had already spent around two hours waiting. I finally asked another technician for help, and she came over and told me everything was good to go. I was sent home believing the problem had been resolved.
However, the battery problem was still exactly the same.
I had to make another appointment and return to the store. This time, a different technician diagnosed the phone and told me that the battery itself needed to be replaced. I agreed to replace it, and after replacing the battery, all of the problems were completely gone.
So, I essentially wasted half a day during my first visit, only to be sent home without the actual issue being resolved. What was most frustrating was that the first visit involved a long process that ultimately did not address the real problem.
I also spoke with the manager, Paul, and explained my experience. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I was told that the team had done everything they could, but from my perspective, that wasn’t the case. I even asked if they could offer some kind of credit or goodwill gesture for the significant amount of time I had wasted, but there was no willingness to do anything.
I have generally expected much better customer service from Apple. The technicians should communicate clearly, take ownership of the issue, and make sure the customer leaves with a properly resolved problem not simply send them home after hours of troubleshooting.
Very disappointing experience, especially with the way the situation was handled by management. I hope Apple takes this feedback seriously and improves the customer experience at this location.
I brought my iPhone in for what I thought was a battery issue. Staff diagnosed liquid damage, which I accepted and declined repair for. When I picked up my phone, the screen had a visible vertical green and purple line that was not there when I dropped it off.
I raised this with the store manager, Justin, who repeatedly insisted the line was caused by the liquid damage. When I tried to explain that the screen was fully intact at drop-off and that this looked like a display cable issue from handling, he kept telling me I didn't understand what he was saying, rather than actually addressing the point or offering to check intake records to confirm one way or the other. At no point did he offer to investigate whether the damage happened during their diagnostic process.
I ended up calling Apple Support directly, and they told me to go to a different store entirely for a second opinion, which says a lot about how this was handled here.
If your device needs anything beyond a straightforward repair, be very careful with this location.
I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at the Yorkdale Apple Store was disappointing.
On August 4, 2026, I visited the store with my brother to buy a 13-inch MacBook Air in Sky Blue. Before paying, I specifically asked the employee helping me, Nathan, if the Sky Blue model was in stock, and he confirmed that it was. I also purchased AppleCare+ based on his recommendation and paid using Affirm. I even mentioned that I’m a college student and needed the laptop urgently for important work.
When I got home that evening and opened the box, I found a Silver MacBook instead of the Sky Blue one I had purchased.
The next day, I returned to the store expecting the issue to be resolved since the mistake wasn’t mine. Nathan told me they no longer had the Sky Blue model in stock and that I could either come back another day or wait about 20 days for a new one to be delivered. Another employee also told me my only options were to keep the Silver MacBook or return it. What surprised me most was that no one apologized or showed any concern. There was no effort to reserve the next available Sky Blue model or offer any practical solution.
I decided to return the MacBook. Nathan told me that everything had been refunded, but I should have received two separate refund confirmation emails—one for the MacBook and one for the AppleCare+ cancellation. I only received one. When I asked about the missing refund confirmation, the only answer I got was, “I don’t know.”
I understand that mistakes happen. Giving a customer the wrong product can happen anywhere. What matters is how the situation is handled afterward. Unfortunately, I left feeling that once the sale was complete, no one was interested in helping resolve the problem. I expected much better customer service from Apple, especially for such an expensive purchase. If you’re buying a device from this location, I recommend checking the contents of the box before leaving the store.
Waited for 1 hour and a half to be placed in another queue for more waiting time. Meanwhile more than half of the staff are doing nothing, but just walking around pretending they are busy.
Why am I here? Because apply product quality significantly dropped. The Apple Watch(black jet) has paint peeling off only after 7 month use. Technician came 25 mins late and tell me can’t tell it’s a quality issue and telling me why buy from Costco, I should buy from Apple Store.
completely unacceptable both the product quality and customer service
My brother and I went to this location ready to purchase a Mac book and an iPhone 17. 4K two college kids were willing to spend. We waited 30 minutes and not one person came to us. We approached a worker (his name was Frankie I believe) and they said “I’m busy I’m with someone right now” and brushed us off. Not even a “I’ll be with you after” because he went to another customer even tho we were there first, probably because she had a parent with her.
We felt like it was due to us being young kids, they went to everyone who “had money” and attended all the students who had a parent present. It felt discriminatory to young adults.
We took our business to Sherway gardens who greeted us right away and we were out in 10 minutes, great service over there.
