  This weekend, I had a positive experience at Best Buy - Richmond location. Josh assisted me with my purchase of a laptop and printer. He was professional and knowledgeable - showing me a variety of options and taking the time to explain the different features of the electronic. Not once did I feel pressured to buy the more expensive item or any purchase. Thank you, Josh!

  friendly and very helpful staff, they don’t just point in the direction of the product that you’re asking about. They take you over to the area show you different options. Explain the options to you answer all your questions. Very patient very helpful.

  The staff lacks knowledge, a guy with beard without moustache came up from cellphone desk and and kept bothering us asking what are we looking for even though we said we will let them know what we need. Then walks aways saying something and then we're in a completely different section, getting help from a polite associate and suddenly he walks in, interrupts the whole conversation and says "oh we don't carry those usb devices here" and then...we found one on the shelves, so we showed it to the associate who was polite and told him that tell that bald-moustache-less-beard guy that yo, have some knowledge about your products in your store. Staff lacks knowledge and doesn't even know anything about products and still keeps bothering people when they say they don't need help..!!! Best buy should provide some product training and inventory update to associates before they place them on the floor.

  Purchased a TV here a few months ago and had a very disappointing experience as a first time Best Buy customer. Went to this location looking for a TV and talked to a worker who I thought was giving me genuine information. I was not interested in purchasing the warranty but they offered me a discount for the warranty and let me know that if there was anything wrong with the TV I would be able receive a gift card for the full value of the TV in which if that happened I could purchase a new one. After hearing about the reduced price of the warranty and that the full value of the TV would be covered I decided to purchase the warranty as well. The issue came at checkout when he was ringing in the TV and the warranty. I noticed he changed the price of the TV with an “override” to reflect the discount he mentioned instead of the warranty. The TV should have been purchased as full price as there was no discount to the TV, only for the warranty. He mentioned “he can’t edit the price of the warranty only the product”. I did not realize until after where this issue would arise. After I had paid I said to him that is an issue because in the future if the there is a problem with the TV the receipt shows a significantly lower price and lower value of the TV therefore there were holes, inaccuracies and information withheld in his original statements to me about the warranty. So I paid more money than I originally wanted to get a warranty I was told would get me the same TV at no cost to me in case it broke in the future but instead I purchased a warranty I didn’t want in the first place, in case the TV broke and I would still be out $60-70 on a replacement in the future. I decided to go home with the TV that day but the feeling of deception did not sit well with me. I decided to return to the store, returned both the TV and the warranty and purchased a new TV without the warranty. The whole situation left me feeling uncomfortable and left a bad taste in my mouth. I am not sure I would shop here again, given there are similar stores within the area that will give genuine customer service and maintain integrity throughout a transaction.
