  I visited Geek Squad yesterday on Stavanger Drive, St. John's and received outstanding service from Furgan. He helped me put together a Smart Watch, and ensured it was operating, and App on my phone. He deserves a special thank you for taking the time to ensure he met all my needs. Thank YOU Furgan!

  I went in to buy a new phone. During this i was trading in 2 phones. After the first phone was traded in I noticed a mistake on the phone details. The employee (Malik) then walked away without saying anything to me I didn't know what was going on and came back after a few mins and handed me off to another employee and told him to complete the transaction. This employee (Cameron) was great. Unfortunately it was Cameron's last day as he resigned. Cameron let me know he had to go out the phone away some where and while he was gone a team lead (Matti) asked me "are you done yet?" In a tone that made it sound like he was annoyed with me. This shocked me as I used to be a manager and i KNOW that is not how you talk to customers. Talking like that to customers makes them feel unwanted and like they are a burden to the staff. A customer should never be made to feel that way in your store. If one of my staff members talked to a customer like that we would be having a very serious talk about there conduct and I would be asking if they want to keep their jobs. I shop at this store a lot and they used to have great customer service and didn't make you feel rushed or that you were a burden.

  Went in - purchased a laptop and was sold the idea of opening up a fairstone loan to cover the cost expense and was told I didn’t need to make payments as the first 12 months are interest free giving me the flexibility to make payments whenever I’d like. Two months later I receive collections email (not one call was made to me) stating that I have an overdue balance which is affecting my credit. Called to confirm with Fairstone and they stated that this loan requires monthly payments. They stated they cannot change the loan, and that Bestbuy opened another loan in my name to cover something that was $200 that I still don’t know what it is. Customer Service not helpful . Cannot pay off the loan over the phone - I must write fairstone a cheque or go to one of their branches. Never take additional offers from this company- buy your computer and get out.
