There are a few caring individuals here, but not many. This place cares more for your money than your pet. We took our cat here to get an ultrasound as our vet thought she had pancreatitis. Turns out they made a mistake thinking she was a different patient and did an ultrasound to see if she was pregnant. My cat was fixed. Then later they realized and did the ultrasound they were supposed to. So my cat had to be inconvienced and stressed twice. They told us it was just ibd to change the diet and see an internal med dr. We did. When we saw the internal med dr we told her the food kinda helped but she was still vomiting. The dr suggested more foods to add. She confirmed no pancreatitis and it was ibd. She ordered a $600 blood panel for b12. She suggested if we werent happy with how the food worked we could do a $4k endoscopy and she would make sure to find something. We took our cat home and they called and said they didnt take enough blood so we had to bring her back. So stressing her out more had to take her back. They let her sit for almost 5 hrs before taking her blood. That was all we were there for. They had to come out and ask me what was i waiting there for. They had forgotten about her. This was all in nov. Fast forward to feb, we had been doing all treatments recommended, but our kitty was getting worse. We took her back they said she needed fluids. I paid and told them yes give her fluids. By 4 hrs they still hadnt given her fluids, just had her sitting back there. They told us they were now getting busier and it was late they could keep her overnight and give fluids for $3900. Why wasnt she on fluids all this time??? Finally they said they would just give her subq fluids and send her home. The next day we had to take her to an er vet (that was amazing and treated her righy away, immediately on fluids). She was so dehydrated she had to be on fluids for the following 4 days. Each time we visited vca we asked that they send all info tonour regular vet and they confirmed they did. We literally just found out a few days ago, that they knew since nov that she had an enlarged pancreas and a very good chance of pancreatic cancer or lymphoma. They never told us that. They never sent that info to our vet. Not until just a few days ago. Our vet had questions and we kept calling vca to ask them for answers. ( one lady even yelled at us over the phone saying how should she know she only works there once a month). Finally to get us to shut up, they sent the full ultrasound report to us. Funny, all.medical documents should be uploaded to the app as well (myvca) and none of this was uploaded. Now months later our cat was finally getting the correct treatment, and now it was too late. Had they told us this info in Nov when they had the info we could have given her the right treatment. We may have had more time with her , been avle to make her suffer less....Instead, this was their way to keep us coming back, paying more. Ordering procedures that had zero to do with what was going on. Each time we were there, several.pets were having to be put down. I am.now thinking common denominator is VCA. We spoke with mgmt, techs, drs. They all pretend to help, but end game is just money. I lost my sweet Tuxie, and her blood is on their hands. Their mistakes, their refusal to provide info, their lack of urgent care... even when as simple as giving fluids.
