Love this place! Always in and out efficiently. Dr. Zedelis is super smart and suggests great treatment plans. I had 2 dogs with similar problems, he correctly used her clinical skills to figure out the case that ended up having a spindle cell tumor and performed surgery on my dog to treat it. The other dog she correctly identified as just having a benign lipoma and didnt subject my dog to unnecessary treatments. Couldn’t say enough good things about these folks!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at VCA Animal Medical and Dental Group in Manhattan Beach. For many years I was a loyal VCA client at VCA Arden in Glendale, where I consistently had excellent care and compassionate service for my dogs. Because of those positive experiences, I trusted the VCA name and expected the same level of professionalism here after recently moving to Manhattan Beach. Unfortunately, my first visit here was the exact opposite. I arrived 11 minutes late to my appointment. I had my two-year-old son with me, and finding parking in this area was very difficult. When I walked in, instead of any understanding or even basic empathy, I was immediately told that they would not see my dog because of their 10-minute late policy. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself — I understand clinics need schedules — but the complete lack of compassion or willingness to help. There was no attempt to understand the situation, no effort to accommodate, and no sense that they cared about the pet or the owner standing right in front of them. As a long-time VCA customer who trusted this brand with my pets for years, this interaction felt extremely cold and dismissive. Veterinary clinics deal with families and animals who often come in stressful situations, and a little kindness or flexibility can make a huge difference. Sadly, this experience left such a negative impression that I chose not to reschedule and will not return to this location. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. A veterinary clinic should not only have policies — it should also have compassion.

I’ve been coming to VCA for a while, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I brought my dog in for a routine anal gland expression and was charged $93. In the past, I’ve paid less and that included an actual exam by a doctor. This time a technician took my dog to the back for maybe 3 minutes, said everything was fine, and that was it. They don’t tell you pricing upfront, and there’s no price list anywhere on their website. You just find out when they hand you the bill. When I called to ask Chris, the manager, what exactly was done for $93, she told me that’s the pricing now and that I’m welcome to go somewhere else next time. She also mentioned she’s been a manager for 20 years but experience doesn’t mean much if you can’t explain a charge or speak respectfully to a long-time client asking a fair question. The whole thing felt like a money grab. I won’t be coming back.

Extremely over priced for a neuter. They quoted me $2100. I went to another (non VCA) clinic and got it done for $300. They even charged me $350 for bloodwork which wasn’t even required. Also it’s a revolving door of staff I seem to get a different Veterinarian every time.

Great experience!! Dr. Roxy and her staff were so nice and helpful. We have a new family member Sir Toby, and everyone went above and beyond to help us feel welcome. They answered all our questions, gave us a goodie bag, and even trimmed his nail for us!! So glad we found this location and I highly recommend checking them out!
