I went to this store 12/23/25 around 4p ended up leaving after 5p. My husband wanted to upgrade and they said we had good offers so he upgraded his phone. There was also a promotion where my son was able to get an ipad for free and the line would be $10 a month. After the devices were activated we went over the agreement and during that time my husband was setting up his phone by logging in to his iCloud. We all know how convenient apple iCloud is where all your stuff gets transferred by logging in right. Anyways while thats happening, Im going over the agreements via the Verizon app and my husband has his phones in his hands going through the set up. Then I clicked agree on the verizon app and proceeded to set up my sons ipad. With that my husband wanted to get a glass screen protector and a case. Janet was going back and forth with the other employees about pricing and asking questions which made me feel like she was doing that to maximize the amount of money she was trying to steal from us. It all came out to $393 and some change! In my mind I was like theres no way! The Ipad $510 the phone $1110 taxes were at least 10%. We got a promotion where Verizon would buy our phone back and we got the phone for $0.27 and the ipad was free with a $10 monthly plan. So I told Janet the associate to charge the accessories separately. Once she took them off the bill came down to $251 so the damn accessories were $140! Janet was out of her mind! So my husband said no to the accessories. I still felt like $251 was so high cause the taxes didn’t add up but I figured its LA and the taxes are probably through the roof. In all this Janet did mention that on my next bill I will have a $40 upgrade fee and $40 activation fee which was normal. Anyway after all that was going on, I continued to set up my sons iPad and Janet put the store ipad in front of me and the screen had a white box and she was requesting my signature for the agreements so I signed it. Then my husband, 3 kids and I left the verizon store and headed to the pottery barn store next door to use the restroom. As I am waiting for my family to finish using the restroom I start going through my verizon account because something didn’t feel right. I notice that the new ipad line said I had to pay $89 on my next bill and I was very upset so I went back to the store. Janet told me to wait 24hrs for the system to update. I checked the account again and 1 hour later and noticed it says $48 which made sense cause of the activation fee. I live an hour away from that verizon store and with traffic I got home 1.5 hrs later. Once home I checked my email and noticed they emailed me a receipt instead of printing it for me in the store. The reason was because they charged me a damn “set up and go service” for the iphone at $39.99 and the iPad at $29.99 when Janet didn’t do anything but turn the iPhone and ipad on, my husband and I did the rest! I am beyond livid and will be filing a police report tomorrow morning. Anyone that was been scammed by this store please comment on this post and I will add your names to a civil suit. I will be taking legal action for theft, fraud, emotional distress and so on. Please reply to this comment and I will give you my email so you can send your facts/paper trail to me for my attorneys. This store needs to close down and the employees need to be held accountable for these actions as well as the owner.

Please go to a real Verizon store this is an authorized seller with Verizon store only. They messed up my order and wouldn’t process my return when I had just picked it up 3 days prior! Customer service online even said they did need to process my return, but they refused to and made me think I needed to go to an actual Verizon store. Run.
