Dr. Fenton is a miracle worker. He is a real life Dr. Doolittle. He saved my cat's life 10 years ago and helped her live another decade. Miss Mary was my heartbeat. He is a beautiful soul with a wonderful heart for the animals, all creatures...cats, dogs, snakes, zebras. He is heaven sent. The staff is wonderful as well. I highly recommend VCA All Creatures.

I want to start off by saying that while I’m incredibly upset over what has happened to my dog as a result of her last visit here, I am not writing this to be revengeful or mean. I’m sharing my experience because that’s what reviews are for! And it’s very important to me that you know what happened and make your own judgements on whether you choose to take your animals here. My family and I have been taking our animals here for years! We’ve been in the desert since the late 1970’s and are full time residents. I adopted my sweet girl Chloe from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter seven years ago. She just turned 8 years old yesterday. Chloe has always had allergies and gets a cytopoint shot every three months. She has also had a history of having urinary issues (crystals in urine and uti’s) so she was put on Royal Canin Urinary SO to help keep her bladder free of bladder stones. This past May I took her in for bumps she had developed on her back, and for her allergy shot. We saw Dr. Fenton. We had seen Dr. Moffet in the past but apparently he retired and now Dr. Fenton is the only vet there! We waiting for him to come in for a very long time. I actually thought they had forgotten about us. It wasn’t that busy and we hadn’t waited that long ever, but maybe they were busy in the back? When he finally came in he had a terrible vibe/attitude. Almost like we were bothering him. Arrogant and short, not welcoming at all! He asked what the issue was with Chloe and I told him. He examined her and said “she needs her allergy shot”. I told him that’s why were there! (That made me feel like he wasn’t paying attention and that he was insinuating I wasn’t on top of it) He said he would give her a spray for her bumps but never told me what it was. When I asked him what the bumps were he just responded “acne”. She had never had that before. I was confused, but ok! Then I asked him about her food and if it could be contributing to her skin issues because while it’s so important for her to be on it, it does contain poultry. He responded “well yeah she shouldn’t be on poultry.” So I asked him if he could recommend something else for her that would still help keep the bladder stones away and didn’t have poultry. His response??? “YOU CAN GOOGLE IT!” I have never had a vet not recommend food for her! He wanted me to “google it”??? So then I said that I had already looked into a bladder food that didn’t contain poultry in the past and hadn’t been able to find one, which is why I asked. And he said “well, you’ll just have to take her off the food and see which is worse. (Skin or bladder) Basically weigh one against the other. I left there so upset! I didn’t know what to do. Her skin was so bad and she seemed to be in a good place with her bladder at that time. I mentioned to the receptionist what had happened and how I had been treated and they felt terrible! She didn’t charge me for the office visit and also helped me try to find a food for her. We found one that had less poultry but still contained some. She gave me a sample of it. I went home so torn and confused. I reluctantly took her off and tried to see if it would help her skin. This was in May. It’s been three months and my dog started having issues peeing. I took her to the vet where I learned she has a bladder FULL of stones!!!!she needed emergency surgery to remove them. $8000!!!! I knew in my gut taking her off was a bad idea and I will never forgive myself for listening to Dr. Fenton! He has no empathy, no concern for my dog, his attitude sucks! I will NEVER go back to this VCA! UPDATE- I reached out to them, reluctantly, per their request below and they completely ignored me! They were so quick to post a reply here publicly, but clearly have no intentions of actually speaking with me. Just add that to the list of why NOT to come to this vet with your precious animals!
