- RCRey CastroNov 3, 20252.0Negative experience. I’ve been a Verizon customer for over three years. I went in at opening time to get a sim card issue sorted out. There were two customers waiting ahead of me and only one employee (Last name: Gutierrez). I’ve worked in customer service and sales for over a decade so I know the pressure from working alone and having multiple customers waiting so I patiently waited. After about a half hour he finished with the first customer. When he got to the 2nd customer it got really out of hand. He chatted with the guy for over 20 minutes and then looked over at us and said without greeting, “do you have a question?” I started explaining the issue and then he cut me off and said, “ok, have a seat someone will be in soon,” and he continued chatting with the “customer” about personal matters, tacos and shrimp for over 30 mins. I guess since they were speaking in spanish he thought we didn’t understand. By that time, 2 more customers entered and he helped the customer that came in after us and went back to continue his food conversation he was having, the other customer walked out because he saw that he wasn’t being helped or even greeted. While they did that I was able to reach a technician over the phone and get the help I needed. I spent exactly 1 hour and 25 minutes in the store without getting any assistance. By the time I left, there were 3 customers waiting behind me and gutierrez was still laughing it up with the same guy. Maybe it was just a bad day for this location, but I felt disrespected and ignored here.
